Try to Tame Miss Cold

Chapter 4

Monique's POV

Ngayon nga't papunta na kami sa office feels great.

"Alex, sure ba sila ni Mama and Papa about this?" I asked my twin brother habang nagdadrive siya.

"You know them. Once they say it , no one can break it." He responded.

I heaved a deep sigh. "I guess they are really serious about it." Sabi ko pa.

"Alam nilang prepared na tayo. They won't put us in this situation if di pa nila nakikitang ready na tayo. We are already 26 and they know that this is the perfect age for us to practice their line. Our parents came from big families, rivalries to be exact." He said.

"Yeah. You're right." I commented.

"Our grandparents won't allow their relationship that's why they need to banish them. Ayaw ni Papa ng business Ad kaya naging piloto siya pero he ended up in the business industry."

"True enough. But Mom loved fashion designing ever since. I guess inspiration nila ang isa't isa that's why they reached this far without the help of their parents." I said in agree.

"Funny thing is that they reconciled after long years. I was very happy to see them make peace to their parents. Mas gumaan yung loob nila Mama and Papa." He said and smiled.

"Hmmm." Tumango ako sa pagsang ayon.

"Nga pala, ano yung napanaginipan mo kanina?" He asked out of the blue.

Nag init ang pisngi ko sa sinabi ni Alex. Nag flashback yung nangyari sa panaginip ko.

"Hinahabol ka ba talaga ng kapre o hinahabol mo hininga mo kasi naabot mo? Hahaha!" He teased and laughed.

"So gross of you Alex." I rolled my eyes to that thought.

"Gross? Really Alex? I'm the gross one here?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yes you are. You have f*cked a lot of girls. Be careful sweet brother, you might have STDs." I warned him.

"I use protection Alex and I am very careful." He reasoned.

"Whatever." I responded while looking outside the window. It's a 30 minutes ride from the house to the office without traffic.

"Kailan mo planong magboyfriend?" He asked out of the blue again.

I looked at him. "No plans. I still don't have plans."

"Wala pa bang naka abot ng standards mo?" He asked.

"You know me Alex. I don't give a shit to shit heads. They'll have me as their girlfriend for what? Para may ipakita sila sa public that they have AMC as their girl? No way!" I said out loud.

"Get rid of that AMC thing. Dinadamay mo pa ako. Di ba they call you Miss Cold nung sa med school ka? Cold not as your surname but cold as you are. Cold personality. Bakit ka ba ganyan? Yan ang big difference sa ating dalawa. Pag sa bahay makulit ka. Pag sa labas grabe ang seryoso mo."

"Ang haba ng sinabi mo. You know me Alex. You know me. As long as I obey our parents, okay na ako. I don't care about the others." I answered him and closed my eyes.

"Tsh. Head's up, we are here now." He said.

Andito na pala kami.  This is a 60 story building na pinatayo ng parents namin. The surrounding is clean. May mga kahoy sa paligid. The facade says "AMC Group of Companies" in a gold plate. Glass is everywhere. We reached our private parking lot kung saan kami lang talaga ang pwedeng mag park.

Bumaba kami ng sasakyan and we saw our parents na bumaba din sa Black Mercedes Benz nila. Dumiretso kami sa private elevator namin. Our parents' office is on the 57th floor. The board room is adjacent to the CEO's office which is si Papa. While the conference room is in the 56th and it covers the whole floor.

When we reached the 57th floor, dumiretso kami sa office ni Papa. Sinalubong kami ng Executive Assistant niyang si Jin Siegfried, he is an achiever too. No wonder Papa accepted his application in our company. The company sets its standards when accepting employees. You need to be competitive kasi madami ang gustong makapasok sa AMC group of companies at marami rin ang gustong makipagsosyo dito.

Pumasok kami sa office ni Papa ng magsalita si Mama.

"We will eat our lunch together later, okay?" Sabi niya pa habang pinapakita ang dala niyang lunch box. Di ko namalayan na may dala siyang ganyan. Hehe.

"Sure Ma." Sabay naming sagot ni Alex.

"Let's go to the conference room. We shouldn't miss any second. Marami pa kayong gagawin. Jin, is everyone present in the conference room now?" Si Papa.

"Yes Sir. The board and the employees are there waiting for you now." Sagot ni Jin sa tanong ni Papa.

"Okay. Now let's go." Papa commanded.

Lumabas na kami ng office ni Papa para pumunta sa 56th floor. Still sumakay kami sa private elevator namin. 

Bumukas ang dalawang glass door nang papasok kami. Tumayo ang lahat ng employees and I can see the members of the board in front. I can see the respect of the employees ng naglakad na kami sa gitna papunta sa podium sa harap. Madalang lang akong pumunta dito sa kumpanya but I have studied everything about our company even though sa bahay lang ako. I even know the department heads and the BOD (Board of Directors).

Pumunta si Papa sa gitna para sa announcement niya at tumayo ang lahat ng nandidito. Eto na talaga yun.

"Good morning. Please take your seats. I called for this General Assembly to inform you all that aside from Alexander Matthew Cold," Papa paused for a while and tinignan niya ang mga tao sa harap niya including the BOD. "Alexandra Monique Cold will be here also to help us run the company. The Vice President and I will be away for a month and I'm requesting all of you to help each other para sa ikalalago ng ating kompanya. We stated this company for all of you, for all of us. So let us all unite to make AMC productive and keep its slot on top. And another thing, Alexander Matthew Cold will be the CEO as of the moment and Alexandra Monique will be theVice President." Papa added and I saw one of the directors frown. *smirks* I guess he is Mr. Encanto, one of the stock holders. He has 10% stocks in this company. I smell something fishy here.

Tinawag ako ni Papa to say a few words and so I stood in front the employees.

"Good morning. I'm Alexandra Monique Cold and like the CEO said, I will be in place of the Vice President. AMC retains it's credibility and I'm expecting from all of you to perform well habang kami ni Alexander Matthew and maiiwan. Maaasahan ko po ba kayo?" Short but authoritative,  that's how I sounded.

"Yes Ma'am." They all said to agree.

Tumango ako at nagpasalamat.

Pagkatapos ng assembly ay bumalik na kami sa office ni Papa. Pinag usapan namin kung ano ang dapat gawin at endorsement na rin at the same. It was one busy morning na halos di na kami magpansinang apat.

We had lunch together and same routine sa hapon.

Natapos ang araw na busy kaming apat sa mga gawain. I also checked on the monthly reports of every departments and verified it. I saw lapses with I need to address as soon as possible.

I guess this was a tiring day but a good start at the same time. Tomorrow will be something new, I can feel it.
