Part 1: Romeo

Away she flies
In this blasted bloody battle
In my hand brandished bloody blade
Alas this endless battle of blood
She flies away yet further

Run little Sparrow!
The Ravens are here for blood
I, the Eagle will shield you
From their barbed cruel claws
And great wings of wrath

Cloaks spin in the wind
Black Ravens taking flight
Hoods conceal masks
False faces of those who mean us
Horrible horrific harm

Clash and my blade collidesign
Again steel and iron metalworks
Sparks fly red hot
The dance of death ever passionate
Run my Juliet! Run!

But she's seized
By Black Ravens
Pecking and swarming over her
'Til she's engulfed in blackness

Run from these Ravens of darkness,
Little Sparrow must flee for fear
Of these vicious kidnappers
Run! Run Juliet!
My talons are worn from battle
My wings weak and limp
I cannot protect you

I'm so sorry

She struggles
Sparrow against Ravens
The victim against the bully

I'm. So. Sorry.

They tug her onto a horse
So pure white it was fit
For her to ride if only
It wasn't theirs

I'm...So...Sorry...my Juliet

And away she flies again
But this time not to me

Part 2: Romeo

My Juliet
My rose among flowers
Not even Beauty can beat you
Graceful like white swan
Features so unblemished
That they seemed to have been carved
By artisan's nimble hands
You are nothing like Beauty

You are bettter
You are pure
And the bird you were named for
Little Sparrow
Sings of your name
I hear it now clear
On the breeze
Ju-liet
Ju-liet

Know this little fragile Sparrow
I will pursue you
To the ends of the world
Should you fall into a void
So would I
Surrendering every part of myself
My identity
My soul
To the dark spirits
For you.

I will wander
The great Sands where
Stinging scorpions threaten
Tails of vicious poison
But I will not be deterred
I will suffer a thousand stings
For you, my dear
Just to find you, my love.

I will venture into the oceans
Should this little Sparrow
Be brought into this
Vast horizons of deep blue
By those cruel Ravens
I will command a ship
And even if storms shall
Wreck wood and flood this
Fragile structure of bark I am on
I will survive the heavy waves
Cling to my boat
Like how a dying man clings
To straw
But this dying man
Is not clinging to this last
Shred of hope
For nothing

I will find Juliet.
I will. Find Juliet.
I. Will. Find. Juliet.

No matter what

Part 3: Juliet

Help
But my voice is bound and gagged
My hands, chained, cling to
The horse, galloping unsteadily
As if the land were the roaring
Sea in desperate turmoil

I am that Sea
I am a mermaid
Out of the water that nutured me
Gasping air in gills
That have not yet grown into
Lungs that steal breaths of air
These men of the land
Stole me from the sea's salty embrace
And left me on horseback
In a bid to make me learn new ways
Their ways

I hear them
Whispers of their talk drift around me
The wind carrying their words
Clearly to me

"Hefty sum they offered
Maybe even coffered
For this tiny slip of a girl
Beauty much like a pearl
So pretty you can barely dare
Touch her delicate skin, but no care
We will offer her, younglings
She must return innocent and pure
So don't let your lust lure."

She shivered at those
Scarring words that threatened to
Scare the life out of her;
Snake-like men
Secretly plotting
Silently whispering, it
Scared her

Help
She struggled against
Those steel like bonds
Biting leather and tasting musk
Dirt and sweat
Perhaps even salty blood
From cracked dry lips
Which long the sweet relief
Of cool spring water
Like the mermaid
Still struggling
To return to the sea

Help
Only desperation
Help
Only fear
Help
Romeo...

Where are you my love?

Part 4: The End

It is said that the end
Has not been foretold yet
Will Romeo to Juliet send; his heart and soul unto the end
Or will the kidnappers win the bet; flee with the prize and reward?

Brave stout Romeo pursued
And gave chase to his love
Desire so strong to seek his love
His ambition was his spur

Nine nights he spent alone
Nine night he dreamt alone
Nine nights he reached for her hand
Nine nights he awoke again
Wishing to see her

Juliet too lay awake
Looking to the thousand stars
Winking mockingly at her
Kindled little lantern lights
She wished upon a falling star
Wishing to see him again

Alas the story has no end
Romeo pursuing his love
Juliet fleeing forcefully from him
Their fated star-crossed love

Their endless story has been told
Across the thousand knowing stars
And if you will and gaze up high
Watching the clouds drift and soar
At the moon in its unblinking glory
Perhaps you might even glimpse
Rakish Romeo fervent on his horse
Chasing Jovial Juliet with a sad smile

And then perchance,
You might see the end
Of their star crossed tale
