Though your heart learns
To live through the pain
Though your heart freezes
Hardening into a block of ice
Though your heart is locked
Throw the key into the sea
There will always be a fissure
A crack in composure
A flaw in appearance
Rendering one ruined
Whether it be stress
Emotional breakdowns
Whether it be exams
A student's fears
Whether it be relationships
Tears of the divided lovers
Everyone has had it before
So don't let it drag you down
Into that deep dark abyss
Where we've all been before
Instead remember that ray of light
And in the suffocating night
Catch that bright star
Hold it tight
Don't, never let that light
Ever be extinguished
