I gaze at the stars and the moon
They're so pretty alone
The stars of jewels and diamonds
The moon, the pure pearl
But they're beautiful togetherI watch the stars and the clouds
Stars the lighthouse of the night
Clouds, drifting wisps of spider
Threatening to block out those eyes
That sparkle and twinkle
But, the stars shine through the fog
Illuminating the gray into blinding white
And making the prefect pairI wonder at the stars and the darkness
Stars, bright fervent things
Contrast with that darkness
So wild in its desire to consume and devour
That I wonder
Why do they fit so well together? And then I realise
Stars are truly dazzling things
But like flames, the brightest star
Always dies first
