What do I see -
A little diamond so bright,
Glimmering in the sky not of night
Yet how it shines in the light
So bright, so piercing a star
Why do we assume that stars
Only shine in the darkness
We assume, we see stars only in blackness
And forgot their sparkle in the
Blazing passion of the sun:
The eye of fire, heart ablaze
Light pouring from it like a river aflood
Light streaming from the sky and blinding us,
Blinding us to the light of the stars
And when the sun retires,
Rolling down the lit up sky,
Flames doused in pink clouds,
Orange drenched in shadows coming
And there and then the stars reveal
So bright like diamonds in the night
Come little star, who caught my eye
Shining in the sun ablaze with light
Like a tear drop glinting in thy eye
Nevermore a star in the night
