Swirling around
Snowstorm inevitable
Snaking out tongues
Sucking and leeching warmthIt muddles all thought
Engulfing them together
Tossing them into each other
Incoherent sentences blend
Into one shivering, trembling sensation
ColdnessNo matter how thick you wrap
Blankets, quilts, jackets, hats
It seeps in despite,
Chilling you to the bone
For what can mortal flesh
With the eternal heat of our blood
Flaming through our veins
Do against this:
The Winter of all winters endured
Chill of frost and kiss of ice
Cold til your fingers glow blue
And you wither
Into frozen iceBeware the cold
