There before my closing lids
(open now)
Stands a maiden so fair
Skin of snow and pearls
Like moonlight's fairyDeftly steps, rustling grass
With toes so small they gleam
Barefoot, crowned in light's glory
Gown swaying to the windNearer she treads
Dewdrops on her lashes
Her eyes a vivid emerald
Echoing nature's beautyHand outstretched, sweet smile
Raven hair the crow envies
Rosy lips a ruby's jealousy
Is that fangs I see between?Like a wolf it pounce
Savage turned creature
Clawing at my bare throat
Turning my vision redThere before my eyes shut
(forever closed)
Strides a demon so foul
Blackened fur of midnight bkack
Like night's shadow come to life
