Freeze heart freeze
Frosty feelings and hostile looks
Made up winter's outer shell
Chilly breaths free of warmth
Leeching heat away
Away from the thumping heart
Away from dying soul
Leaving only a shell of
The former self
Leaving only an ice heart
Frozen heart freezes
In the heat of the moment
Ice shivers
Heat penetrates through
Warm pulsing life
Joyful with happiness
And revives the cold ice heart
Melt heart melt
Freed from bonds of frost
Slushy from defrost
Thriving in the warmth
Of the gentle sun
A new heart, and no longer
An ice heart
