Window open
Letting in gusts of wind
That send curtains
Flapping like ghosts
Tangling together like lovers
Huddling for protection and warmth
Window wide open
To the elements that run wild
Unrestrained in their domain
Rain lashing in, ferocious
Barging in like unwelcome guests
Slam it shut
Dancing curtains still
Cold wind banging
Behind a wall of glass
Unthreatened I retreat
Back into a warm seat and comfort
To slumber
...zzz...
Totally at bliss
Totally unaware of the storm outside
***
trying to think of a nice warm comfy place when its raining outside
good thing I'm not outside in the rain at least
