Day two at school. We dropped off Bella and Brody once again and went to homeroom.
"I'll introduce you to some new people today so you can know someone other than me." Ross said.
We walked in and sat down in our seats. Ross turned around and I did the same.
"Hey man. Hey, Camille." Tyler said. Tyler and Jake sat behind us.
"Hey." I said.
"So, football games start next Friday! You excited?" Jake asked.
"I'm excited to play again. You?" Ross asked him.
"I'm excited to pick up chicks again!" Jake laughed.
"Tyler, you have a girlfriend these days?" Ross asked.
"Nope. I'm single. What about you, Ross? You used to be a ladies man! Do you have a girlfriend?" Tyler asked.
"Uh..." Ross quickly glanced at me. "It's complicated."
"I see, I see. Well you can always pick up a chick at the games." Jake told him.
"Yo did you guys hear about the homeroom trips? Like each homeroom takes a trip at the beginning of the year." Tyler said.
"Trip to where?" Ross asked.
"Each homeroom votes and they all go somewhere different. Like Colorado, California, Florida." Tyler said.
"Yeah I heard that. Everyone has to pay 100$ though I think. That's how it was last year." Jake added.
"Hello class. I've heard many people talking and asking about this, but today is the day that we vote for our homeroom trips." The teacher said.
"Told ya." Tyler said from behind me.
"So, our options this year are New York City, Chicago, or California. Unless anyone has a different suggestion." The teacher announced. A few girls squealed.
She had us raise our hands for the one we wanted, and New York City won the vote. She then handed out permission slips.
"This needs to be turned in by next Monday, along with 100$. If you don't have it by Monday, you will not be able to go." The teacher explained. Then right on queue, the bell rang.
The rest of the classes were the same as usual. Some handed out textbooks, and one even started a group project.
"There will be five people in a group. You will all do something different so this doesn't get boring. Get in groups and I will come around to tell you what you will be doing." The teacher said. I still don't know the names to any teachers.
"Hey, we can all be partners. There's already four of us." Ross said to Zach, Tyler and me. We all agreed.
"What about Becca, too?" I asked, noticing she was in this class.
"Becca!" Tyler called. She walked over. "Want to be in our group?" He asked.
"Of course!" She agreed and pulled a chair up to our four desks that were already together.
"Hello kids. Your assignment will be to make a lightbulb light up using as many things as possible. For example, with a potato. With a watermelon. With circuits. Experiment a little bit. This is due on Friday, so you might have to work after school." The teacher explained, handing us a paper with more information.
