Thursday at school. We were so close to the end of the week. Homeroom was the first time I really got to talk to Ross since school yesterday.
"I brought her some stuff to keep her busy." I told him.
"You're so nice. Is she doing well?" Ross asked me.
"She seemed better after we watched a movie." I said. We talked for a while longer with Becca before homeroom was over.
When we got home, Anna was napping.
"I'm gonna eat. Becca is picking me up soon." I told Ross.
"You going to see Callie again?" Ross asked.
"Yeah." I said, microwaving some leftover pizza.
"Have fun. I'm going to go dra- uh, nap." Ross told me.
"Okey dokie." I said. Then laughed at myself.
I ate up and grabbed some money out of my room. It was getting colder each night so I grabbed a hoodie. When Becca arrived, I was waiting on the porch.
"Hey! Do you know where Callie lives?" I asked as I got into the car.
"Yeah. She lives in a van, usually parked in her aunts driveway." Becca told me.
"Is it far? Do you think we could go?" I asked.
"I don't see why not. Actually it's only about a minute out of our way." Becca said.
She drove until we came across a really trashy, gross trailer. I got out and walked up to the van parked there. It was the only car here.
"What are you doing? Someone might be here, you can't just barge into someone's van!" Becca said through the car window.
I ignored her and walked over to the drivers side door. I pulled it open, thankfully it wasn't locked. Callie's stuff was everywhere so I knew it was the right one. Her favorite hoodie was sitting in the front seat, so I grabbed it. Also, I grabbed some sweatpants, deodorant, that journal she always carried around, and a comb. I knew she wouldn't be allowed to have a razor to shave, so I just left it.
"What is all that stuff?" Becca asked me as I got into the car. I put it into the back seat.
"Just some stuff she might appreciate to have." I told Becca.
"Whatever. If I get arrested for stealing, i'm blaming you." Becca said. I laughed.
"Let's stop at that fall store beside Walmart. You know the one?" I asked.
"Yeah, I know the one. Why are we going there?" Becca asked.
"I want to buy us three matching fall blankets!" I smiled.
"Okay, in i'm." Becca said.
Becca waited in the car while I ran in to get us blankets. I picked the fuzzies ones, then met her back out in the car.
"Got them! Now i'm officially ready to go see Callie." I told her. It was only about an hour away now.
"Let's stop at McDonald's and get us all some food. I'm sure she's sick of all the hospital food." Becca said.
We went through the drive through right across from the hospital and got us all something to eat. Becca had to shove the bag in her purse so the nurses would let us up.
"We brought some stuff!" I said as I walked into her room.
"Good, it was getting boring without you two." Callie said. I dropped everything I was holding onto her bed, and Becca pulled out the food.
