*after school on Friday*

"See you tonight. Good luck!" I said to Ross as I went to Callie's car with Callie and Becca.

"You and Ross? OMG! Cute!" Callie said.

"No, there's no 'me and Ross'. But, I am moving in with them. Becca screeched. We all got into the car and Callie started driving.

"You're moving in with him? That's crazy! Why?" Callie asked.

"Well, our parents are close, we've been friends for a bit. My parents are moving and I really like it here. So, yeah. I'm living with him now." I lied to them. It felt bad to lie to them but I couldn't hurt Ross by telling them the truth.

"Sweet. So, I guess you aren't aloud to have friends over? Because that would be so fun." Becca asked.

"I'm sure I can have a few friends over. Ross probably won't even talk to us." I explained. "So, where are we going?"

"I was thinking the mall. It's an hour away, but there's food and good shopping. Then we can come straight back here for the game." Callie said.

"Sounds good! Since we have a long time, you guys tell me about your family. You already know so much about my life." I laughed.

"Callie and I have known each other since kindergarten, just recently started hanging out over the summer. Oh, parties! You have to come to a party. I'm sure Ross will be invited to all of them and he can bring you." Becca said.

"Woah, really? Cool!" I said.

"Yeah! Well, I have an older brother. He's 20. He throws awesome college parties at his dorm, we should go to one. Anyways, he is over at my house sometimes for dinner or stays over night some weekends. And my parents, well, they're parents. My mom is a doctor and my dad is a lawyer." Callie said.

"Why do you live here then! You should live in a big city or by the beach. They must be loaded." I said.

"We aren't poor, that's for sure." Callie laughed.

"Wish my parents were that cool. My dad owns the local gas station and my mom works at walmart." Becca told us.

"My mom works for a photography company. That's the reason she moved. They move around a lot. My dad is a journalist. Actually, they are working on a book right now. They mostly write about and take pictures of endangered animals, and they use 25% of the profit to help protect the animals." I said. Lies.

"That sounds cool! Have you ever traveled with them?" Callie asked.

"A few times. They go out to sea a lot. Africa, Australia, Antarctica." I told them. I need to remember the story I make up.

"I haven't even been out of state before! New York is going to be so fun." Becca said.

"Oh yeah! I already signed us three up for being roommates." Callie told us.

By the time we talked about our family for a little while longer, we were at the mall.

"So, let's shop first, then eat. That way we won't have to buy more food later tonight." Callie said.

"What store first?" Becca asked.

"I heard about a good bookstore down here, mind if we check it out?" I asked.

"Okay, let's go." Becca said. We started walking until we reached the bookstore. I only had 20$ to spend, and we still haven't ate yet. Ross was supposed to meet me and give me my ticket at the game. Every football player gets one extra free ticket for anyone they want.

I started looking at the books while Becca and Callie went over and looked at the board games.

"Camille, check it out!" I heard Becca say. I turned to see her holding a Ouija board box.
