I woke up around 9 the next morning to the smell of breakfast, and even a slight hangover headache. Lazily, I put on my slippers and walked out of my room. When I got into the living room, I could see at least a foot of snow outside which was making it so much brighter inside.
"Guys, did you see outside?" I excitedly asked Ross and Dylan who were making breakfast. Ross was making pancakes, Dylan was making sausage and eggs.
"Yeah, sweet right?" Dylan said, looking up from the pan of eggs.
"Let's go outside!" I grinned widely at them.
"Are you crazy? It's probably zero degrees! How about we eat some breakfast, open a few presents, and then we can get all bundled up before going outside." Ross suggested. Anna came out of her room and greeted us.
"Good morning kids. Merry Christmas!" Anna said. She was wearing a fluffy robe and some socks.
"Look!" I pointed out the window. And was excited about seeing snow, too.
"Someone sure is being loud." Rachel walked out of her room in a grouchy mood, killing my happy one.
"Maybe i'm just excited, you should be too. Look at the christmas tree, the snow! Even Ross and Dylan making us breakfast. Why are you filled with bad vibes?" I asked Rachel.
"Hey girls, stop it." Anna said sternly.
"Yeah, get in here and eat some quality breakfast!" Dylan called. We all walked to the kitchen as Ross and Dylan served us.
"Thanks for breakfast, guys. It's really good." I told them. The sausage was amazing.
"No problem, it's my pleasure." Dylan smiled.
"And my specialty!" Ross said loudly, joking.
"Thanks for letting me stay, it means a lot Anna. But i'll get out of your hair and let you guys have a good christmas." Dylan stood up from the table.
"What do you think you're doing young man? Sit back down, you're not going anywhere. Where would you go?" Anna asked. Dylan was silent. "You're welcome here, Dylan. I think there are even a few presents for you under the tree."
"I can't thank you enough." Dylan sat back down.
We all finished our breakfast and I made hot chocolate for everyone as Ross and Dylan sorted out all the presents. Each person got about three presents.
"Here you go." I gave everyone their hot chocolate and sat on the floor beside Ross.
"Lean in and smile!" Anna said, holding her phone up for a picture.
Ross was in the middle, Dylan and I leaned into him. Rachel was sitting on the couch behind us and leaned out of the picture. "Cheese!" We all smiled.
"Great!" Anna was satisfied with the picture, then sat down on the other couch with her presents.
"Send it to me!" I told her.
After everyone got all situated, we were ready to open presents. We all started opening at the same time, I started with the biggest. It was a box that sounded like clothes. I unwrapped it as Ross kept glancing over. As I started to open the box, A dark red piece of lace peeled through.
"Close it, close it!" Ross whispered to me. I looked at him in confusion and closed it. "I must've accidentally wrapped that one too. It's... for later." Ross itched the back of his neck nervously.
