Cathy woke us up around 9am.

"Sleepyheads! Breakfast is ready, come on now. Julia should be up soon." Cathy said loudly from the kitchen.

I rolled out of the bed and stood up. I didn't sleep much at all last night, i'm worried about Anna. Ross and I followed Cathy to the table, she already had food on our plates. French toast, eggs, and sausage.

"Now I know Ross, but I don't know you very well. You're Ross' age?" Cathy asked.

"Yeah, we are the same age." I told her.

"You driving yet? I always see Ross driving but never you." Cathy said.

"Actually I just got my license not too long ago. We always ride in his truck so he usually drives." I answered.

"So you two get along? That's good." Cathy said. If only she knew.

"Thanks for the food. It's really good." Ross said.

"Yes, thank you." I agreed.

"I think I hear Julia awake, I'll go get her." Cathy said as she walked away. Awkward.

"You have any plans for today?" Ross asked after a few long seconds of silence.

"Uh... I thought about asking Becca to hang out." I said, not making eye contact.

"Fun." He said.

"What about you?" I asked.

"If you hang out with Becca, I might go to hang out with Tyler." Ross said. Of course.

I pulled out my phone and texted Becca.

to becca: hey! wanna hang out today?

from becca: sure thing, when and where?

to becca: anytime, any place. just pick us up at the blue house right past ours. ross wants to come along to hang with tyler. that ok?

from becca: that's fine, tyler wants to come anyways. i'll be there in an hour

"They will pick us up in an hour. Tyler is coming too, I don't know where we are going though." I told Ross.

Cathy entered the kitchen and started making a bottle.

"Sorry you had to sleep on the couch last night, I didn't have time to clean up downstairs. This morning I cleaned up down there though, so you two can take your stuff down there if you want." Cathy said.

"In the basement?" Ross asked.

"Yes. My son used to stay down there before he moved out. You should like it better than the couch." Cathy said. We took our blankets and bags, then went down to the basement.

"I've never been down here before." Ross said. It was a big open space with a huge bed, a couch, a tv, even a tiny kitchen area with a microwave and a mini fridge. In the corner, there was a bathroom that had a jacuzzi tub.

"This is sweet." I said.

Ross put his stuff down on the bed and I did the same. Then I grabbed some new clothes and went into the bathroom to take a shower. This shower was so nice and had the best soap in it. The towels were heavenly soft too.

Once I was out, Ross was sleeping on the bed. I tried to be quiet and not wake him up, but he sat up a few seconds after I closed the bathroom door.

"Oh, you're out." He said, rubbing his eyes.

"I didn't mean to wake you up." I said as I sat on the couch and took out my phone. I decided to call Anna.

"Hello?" She answered.
