I woke up and Becca was still asleep. I went to the bathroom to take a shower.
By the time I was out, Ross and Becca were awake and dressed.
"Let's go to the coffee shop for breakfast." Becca suggested.
"I don't have-" I started.
"I'm paying. Come on." Ross said. We all went out to the truck, I got stuck in the middle seat.
"I'm really hungry because someone ate all the pizza." Becca joked.
"That's what you get for falling asleep, like, thirty minutes after you come over!" I smiled.
"I checked on Cleo this morning. The babies are crawling." Ross told me.
"Who is Cleo?" Becca asked.
"Cleo is a cat we found, don't tell Anna. She had kittens and now we have to sell them." I explained.
"Really? I'll buy one!" Becca said excitedly.
"Once they get a little older and don't need their mom, you got it." I said.
We pulled into the coffee shop and went inside. The waitress sat us at a table and gave us a menu. We ordered and waited. Ross got up and went to the bathroom.
"Did you dump Tyler for Ross?" Becca asked out of the blue.
"Why would you think that?" I asked.
"I see how you are with Ross. I'm not against it or anything, but we are best friends. I just wanna know what's going on." She said.
"Well I didn't leave him for Ross. There were other reasons. But... I mean Ross is single, i'm single." I said.
"Yay! You two would be the perfect couple!" She screeched.
"Shh! He's coming." I told her. Ross sat back down.
"What are you so excited about?" Ross asked Becca.
"Oh, you know... breakfast!" She said. The waitress came with our food.
"There's a huge party this Friday after the football game. You two going?" Becca asked.
"Who's party?" Ross asked. I would've asked but not like I would know them anyways.
"Dylan's. At his house." Becca said.
"Well we might have to go." Ross said, smiling at me.
"I'm in." I agreed.
After breakfast, we dropped Becca off on the way home.
"Are you and Dylan... like..." Ross paused.
"Like...? What do you mean?" I asked.
"You two are all good?" Ross asked.
"Yeah. I guess. We don't talk much." I said.
"Okay. So you're not mad at him or anything?" Ross asked.
"No! Why are you asking?" I asked him.
"Well if we were going to go to his party together I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't make you uncomfortable." Ross told me.
"Thanks, but I'm fine. And by together..." I said.
"It's a costume party since Halloween is near. Usually people, you know, go with a date." Ross said.
"So you're asking me to be your date?" I asked him with a cheesy smile.
"I guess so, yeah." Ross said.
