HTTYD ONE SHOT BOOK

Surf's up!

Hey! 

So here's what's going to happen: One day Astrid suggests that she, Hiccup, and the gang should go to the beach and swim and surf and just hang out. But what she didn't know is that her boyfriend is a professional surfer, despite the lost of his leg in a shark attack. (Modern AU)

"Hey guys!" 20 year old Astrid Hofferson said to her friends as she sat down in Berk's most popular cafe.

"Oh. Hey Astrid." Fredrick aka Fishlegs greeted as he read through the menu.

The rest of the gang; Rachel aka Ruff, Timothy aka Tuff, and Spencer aka Snotlout, also voiced their greetings.

Then the gang's 'leader' Harold Hiccup Haddock aka Hiccup came over to take their order.

After he gave them their orders half-an-hour later he sat down with them cause he was on break. He sat next to Astrid with his arm around her shoulders as they ate and talked.

"We should go to the beach and have a day just to hang." Astrid suddenly suggested.

"That's a good idea." Hiccup said, "We all need a day to just relax and hang out together."

"Yeah!" Ruff said.

"Let's go!" Tuff said.

"Tomorrow guys!" The rest of gang exclaimed.

Hiccup then looked at the clock, "Welp, my break's over. I'll see you guys later." 

Then he stood and pecked Astrid's cheek before heading back to work.

The next day...

The gang headed to the beach with everything that they'd need for the whole day. After they got to the beach everyone got out of the cars and ran onto the now deserted beach. 

"Who wants to surf?" Hiccup asked, surprising everyone.

"You're on!" Astrid challenged running to the water with her board.

Soon Hiccup, Astrid, and Heather were waiting for the first wave. The rest of the gang was sitting on the beach with pieces of paper to use as scorecards.

Hiccup suddenly started to paddle towards a wave that had just been spotted. 

After about an hour of surfing they went back in and the gang who wasn't surfing had decided that Hiccup was the winner.

"How did you do that?" Snotlout asked Hiccup, gesturing to Hiccup's leg.

Hiccup looked down and then looked them all with a straight face and said, "I'm a pro surfer."

The gang started at him before simultaneously yelling, "WHAT?!"

"Yeah I have a competition next Saturday. You guys should so come!" Hiccup said.

I'm thinking about making a book where Hiccup's a pro surfer but I'm not really sure...What do you guys think?
