//Hiccup finds out that he's adopted 

Hiccup sat in his hut, a note in his hand. He had been like this for hours. Hiccup sighed and laid back on his bed, holding the note to his chest. He never expected to hear this news from his dad.

The note read, 'To whoever finds him, I must ask that you take care of him. His name is Hiccup. He was born on February 29th. I had to send him away to keep him safe. I hope you'll love him as your own. Sincerely, Meta Grimborn'

Then Astrid knocked on the door to his hut, "Hiccup? Babe? Dinner is ready. Are you coming?"

Hiccup closed his eyes tight, "In-in a minute."

"Is something wrong?" she asked.

'Darn it,' Hiccup thought before saying out loud, "No mi'lady. I'll be at the Clubhouse in a minute."

Astrid hesitated, "Alright then."

He heard her walk away, before getting up and whistling to Toothless, "Let's go get some answers bud." 

So they flew off to find the Dragon Hunters.

When they found the hunters he landed on the deck of the main ship and was instantly surrounded. He raised his hands above his head, and said, "I come in peace. I just need to talk to Viggo."

He was then ripped off of Toothless and taken below deck to Viggo's cabin. 

"Boss, he said he wants to talk to you," one of the hunters said.

Viggo looked over, "Leave us." 

"Yes sir," the hunter said, leaving.

After the hunter left, Viggo turned towards a wall asking, "To what do I own the pleasure of this visit Hiccup Haddock?"

"Do you know anyone named Meta Grimborn?" Hiccup asked.

Viggo quickly turned around, he glared at him and asked, "How do you know her name?"

"I-it it was on this-this note," Hiccup stuttered, handing him a copy of the note.

Viggo grabbed it and read it. After he finished reading it he leaned heavily against his desk.

"So.....it is you...." Viggo said softly. 

"What-what do you mean?" Hiccup asked.

"Hiccup......you're my son. Meta was my wife," Viggo said.

"What?! You're my dad?!" Hiccup exclaimed, shocked.

"Yes I am son," Viggo said.

Hiccup got up, "I've......I've got to go." 

Viggo nodded, "When you come back, I'll welcome you with open arms."

Hiccup walked up to the deck and took off, still in shock. He and Toothless headed back to the Edge.

When they landed Astrid ran over yelling, "Where were you?!"

"I had to check something out," Hiccup mumbled.

Astrid ran over, worried she asked, "Hiccup what happened? What did you check out?"

"Let's go to the Clubhouse," Hiccup said slowly.

Astrid looked worried but said, "Okay."

When they entered the gang and Heather all looked over. Fishlegs asked, "Hiccup where were you?"

"I-I've got to sit down," Hiccup said, collapsing in a chair.

Everyone looked at him worried, and Astrid sat next to him, holding his hand.

"Hiccup what's going on?" Tuff asked, unusually calm.

"Dad........Stoick just told me I'm adopted," Hiccup said, looking at the floor.

Everyone looked at each other, their leader was adopted? 

"Did you try to find your parents?" Heather asked.

Hiccup nodded, and Snotlout asked, "Who are they?"

Hiccup sighed and said, "My mother is dead. My father.......is still alive..."

"Who?" Ruff asked.

"Viggo Grimborn is my dad," Hiccup said, looking at the floor.

Again everyone looked at each other, shocked.

Snotlout laughed, "Your dad is our arch enemy? That's gotta hurt."

Everyone glared at him and Astrid hugged Hiccup.

"Hey. Dragon boy, everything's gonna be fine. We're all behind you 100%. Now let's head to Berk to tell Stoick."

Soon Stoick had been informed.

It was a few months later when Viggo and Hiccup used the skrill to try to stop Johann.

Viggo walked into the one room where Hiccup and Toothless were.

After a few seconds of talking, Viggo leaned up against the table that was in the room.

"Dad!" Hiccup exclaimed, running over.

"This is it. The end of the game," Viggo said, coughing.

"No......Dad," Hiccup said, a worried look coming over his face.

"Hiccup, you're more ruthless than you realize. I will cover for you."

"Dad, I'm not leaving you," Hiccup said.

"I love you son," Viggo said, hugging Hiccup before saying, "Now go!"

Hiccup looked at Viggo tearfully, before running out of the caves he said, "I love you dad."

When Hiccup and the Twins got back to the Edge, Hiccup was very quiet, not talking to anyone.

"It's weird having Viggo gone," Astrid said softly.

"Astrid.......My dad, my only living relative, is dead," Hiccup cried putting the cover on the 'Maces and Talons' game.

"Come here," Astrid said, hugging him close, "You still have us."
