"Have we reached land yet?"

"No, but I see a tree up ahead. We can relax and get some shade."

Tau, the strange male lion that has been in the Pride Lands, laid down in the soft sand under a tree that's leaves were slowly fading away due to the blaring heat and lack of rainfall. His younger sister, Hadiya, sat down beside him scanning her hazel eyes across the windy desert.

The two teenage rouges were trying desperately to find a new home. They both escaped from their birth pride together due to a horrible event, but stuck together through it all. They've been traveling for weeks without food and water, and were losing hope of ever finding a new place to start over.

"We've been traveling for so long and we haven't made it anywhere yet." Tau sighed, laying his head on his two large paws.

"Hey don't give up hope big brother! We will find somewhere to stay.." Hadiya looked around, but then twitched her ears, smiling with an idea. "Hey, didn't you tell me of a place you visited that was the most beautiful lands you've ever seen? Why can't we go back there?"

Tau stood up. "No! We can't go back there. It's too dangerous."

"Why is that?"

"The King rules those lands. I've already posed a threat to him and his Pride, not to mention that his daughter threatened me to never return unless I wanted her father to kill me." Tau looked down, a smile appearing on his face, remembering how fierce Nama was towards him and how he was immediately drawn in by her beauty.

"I'm sure we can reason with the King and he will welcome us into his Pride right?"

Tau shook his head, "No, that won't happen. I already know. Not after I invaded his territory. Also, I don't want anything happening to you."

This time Hadiya shook her head at her brother. "Nothing will happen to me. Besides, we never know what could happen. The future is unknown, and this may turn out to be a good thing."

He sighed. "Your right."

"Aren't I always?"

"No."

They both laughed, and Tau began jogging forward. "Come on, let's go. I'll lead the way."

Hadiya nodded and ran behind Tau, who began sprinting. They both ran throughout the desert, gusts of sand blowing throughout the winds and getting in their eyes. The sandy texture began to disappear underneath their paws, and the soft feeling of the grass began to fill that space. They both paused as a small watering hole began appearing into view.

Hadiya practically knocked her brother over to get a fresh taste of water. She had been dehydrated for weeks.

"Ah, so refreshing." She said, lapping it up quickly on her tounge.

Tau opened his eyes and looked up, his eyes showing both shock and fear. Hadiya raised up her head and lifted a brow at her brother.

"What's wrong?"

Tau pointed with his paw, slowly walking forward. Hadiya turned around, gasping.
