Morning faded away and the sun made it's highest round up in the sky, indicating that it was noon. The Queen was taking me out for another round of my training. I have mastered all of the basic skills already, meaning I am one step closer to being finished.

"Okay Lana, one more time let us go over the pledge." The Queen told me in a soft voice. I sat atop of a tall stone underneath a shady tree, so I was able to look down on her.

"Alright..." I breathed out, shut my hazel eyes for a split second, and began speaking.

"To Be a Queen... being a Queen means having respect for yourself and everyone around you. Stand beside the King at all times, vowing to never leave his side. Don't let being royalty get to your head, you are still normal just like everyone else. Stand tall and have faith in yourself at all times. The Circle of Life is now in my paws. I am one to begin the next generation at Pride Rock. As the Future Queen of the Pride Lands, I promise to abide by all rules, respect all creatures big and small, and protect my pride and family at all times!" I finished.

The Queen smiled proudly, which caused one to appear on my face as well.

"Amazing job, dear. I am so proud of you!" She cheered me on.

"Thank you so much." I bowed and smiled. She continued to scan her reddish brown eyes over me. I shifted, and hopped down from the rock.

"Is there something wrong, Miss Kiara?" I asked.

"Not at all Lana." She answered. "I am so incredibly proud of you though. Your mother and I were both speaking earlier, and your time is almost coming. This kingdom will be yours to rule someday along with Leo, you both seem to be prepared for the royal titles and are taking your lessons very seriously."

I shed a small tear. "Thank you my Queen. That made me grow even more confidence within myself. I will admit in the past and when I was much younger, being betrothed to the Prince seemed like one of the scariest things ever. But I learned to move on and accept the fact that this is my destiny and true calling. I love your son so much, he means the absolute world to me. Being with him is truly a blessing, along with being apart of his future. You and King Kovu have both been so helpful, and we promise to continue on your legacy's with greatness and not to let you down."

She pulled me in for a tight hug. I embraced her back.

"You will become an amazing Queen, I just know it." She complimented me once more.

Interrupting our sweet moment was the sound of an urgent voice coming our way.

"Queen Kiara!"

We both looked above us and saw Zuna, Zazu's daughter flying towards us. She landed in front of us, spreading her wings with a bow.

"Good afternoon your highness! I've come with a message from King Kovu. He has assembled another Pride meeting with important information about the hyenas. You both need to return home, immediately!" She said.

"Oh goodness!" I said, covering my face with my paw.

Kiara began jogging her way back home. "We have to get moving. Come along Lana, we can finish this up soon."
