A week later...

I was currently at the waterhole, speaking to majority of the animals and listening to their reports on anything unusual happening in the kingdom.

"Good afternoon my King." A large green alligator named Hanu spoke to me while bowing his head.

"Good afternoon Hanu. How are you and Nahia doing? Are the eggs hatched yet?"

"No but we're getting there. We are both beyond excited to welcome our four little babies into the world."

"How wonderful!" I smiled.

Hanu's faces then changed. "But my King we have been hearing some things about the hyena clan..."

"Things like what?" I asked suspiciously, sitting down.

"I heard that the past hyena leader, Janja has passed away. His wife, Runa is now the new hyena matriarch. I've been hearing rumors like that she wants a war against the Pride Landers. Their clan is decreasing day by day so I doubt that'll ever happen."

"We never know Hanu. They could still be building an army. Thank you for the valuable information. I'll get on this as soon as possible."

He nodded with a smile. "You're welcome."

I spoke with a few more animals, all of them telling me the same story. If the hyenas really are building an army, a war could start, and that's something I genuinely want to avoid. But if we must fight then so be it.

I began making my way back to Pride Rock, passing a small river when I heard paw steps. I  twitched my ears, turned around and saw Tau walking slowly towards me.

"Good afternoon Tau." I greeted.

"Oh um good afternoon your majesty. I-is now a bad time? You seem pretty busy." He said in a nervous tone.

I shook my head with a chuckle. "Not at all son. Come and join me for a drink."

He loosened up and smiled lightly, before sitting a bit distant from me. He leaned down and began lapping up the water.

"Now Tau." I said once he finished, in a deeper tone. "I've been meaning to talk to you about something important.."

"Y-Yes sir?"

I chuckled once more. "Relax son, you aren't in trouble. I just want to talk to you about Nama.."

"Oh, okay." He breathe a sigh of relief.

"Now I know that before I even knew of you or your sister, Nama was aware that you both were staying in the Pride Lands and was helping you out, correct?"

He nodded. "Yeah. She wanted to keep things on the low for as long as possible. Nama really does have a good heart."

"Just like her mother, but I have another question for you."

"Yes?"

"How do you feel about my daughter? I want to know everything you feel towards her."
