The boiling afternoon heat spread across the plains like a wildfire. Blaring lines of sunlight touched everything in it's reach and caused it's temperature to spike high. Laying down behind Pride Rock under a shady tree that barely provided any shade cause me to groan in annoyance and cover my hazel eyes with my medium size paw.

A few of the lionesses enjoyed the heat, so they continued to sunbathe on rocks while their cubs continued to play. I however was never one to enjoy heatwaves like this, I enjoyed much cooler weather or weather that wasn't as hot. Hopping off of the brown and dusty stone I was laying on, I stretched my body out once my paws hit the bare ground.

I moved quickly into the large cavern, and heard multiple voices from the inside. I peered my head in and saw Leo, Nama, Tau and Hadiya all circled around each other laughing. It made me smile seeing all of them getting along so well. I pawed my way inside and they all paused their conversation looking at me.

"Oh hey Lana, we were just talking about you." Hadiya smiled warmly.

I lift a brow. "Really?"

"Yes." Nama laughed. "We are reliving some of our childhood stories and adventures."

I smile. "Sounds like fun, we all must have some exciting stories to tell, mind if I join?"

"Of course!" Nama replied.

I gave her a brief thank you before laying close beside my handsome fiancé. I greet him with a swift kiss on the nose.

"Hey handsome." I tease.

"Why hello to you as well." He reply back in the same cheeky tone.

I giggle and nuzzle him softly, just as Hadiya clears her throat.

"Alright everyone, who wants to share first?"

Tau raise his paw with a big smile. "I'll start this one off sis. This is one of the flashbacks to our Pride and when our parents were still alive."

Hadiya flush in embarrassment. "Tau, are you going to tell that story? Please don't!"

He nod with a smirk.

"I'm definitely intrigued, you must tell it, oh pleaseeee Hadiya?" Nama pleaded.

"Ugh fine!" She groaned goofily.

Tau looked at all of us, winked at his sister and began to speak. "It was a fresh and warm sunny day in the Mountain Pride, and my mother decided to take me and Hadiya on a small hunting lesson. One of my best buddies back then, Sudi, asked to tag along with us that day. His mother as good friends with ours, so he was kind of like another brother to us. Anyways, mother took us to a small lake, and our prey was fish. I caught mine with ease and on my first try, but Hadiya here had a little trouble."

"I was never truly one with hunting." She admitted, blushing again.

"My mother even gave her some tips on what to do, but she just couldn't get it. It wasn't until her last try, she was finally focused and so close to catching the fish, until I had ran up behind her and scared her."
