I woke up to my alarm clock blaring into my ear. Why was this thing going off? I only had it set for the first day of- school.
I rolled out of my bed and went over to my closet. I pulled out a simple t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans.
I took a quick shower before putting my clothes on and doing some light makeup. I headed downstairs to find my mom cooking breakfast.
"Morning sweetie, do you want anything to eat?" my mom asked, placing a plate down on the kitchen counter.
"No thanks, I'm not really hungry this morning," I said, pulling out a stool and sitting down.
"Alright. Oh, you're taking Mason to school today."
"Why? I have to go get my schedule and everything."
"You are only going to be in public school for a few weeks. The school system just said that their online program wasn't ready yet."
"Fine, I guess I'll take him." I got off the stool and went over to the door to grab my backpack. "So, let me get this straight. Since me, Nadia, and the boys are all going to be in school for a few weeks, then they are transferring all our work to the online program?"
"Yup."
"Alright." I grabbed my purse and car keys and opened the door. "Mason, come on, we're leaving!"
"Coming!" Mason ran down the stairs before grabbing a piece of toast.
"Bye mom."
-
"Hey guys," I said, walking up to the guys.
"Hey. We got you your schedule. Nadia just went to get hers," Zach said, handing me a yellow piece of paper.
"Thanks."
"We all have lunch together. I have second and fourth period with you," Jonah said, looking between my paper and his.
"I have first with you," Daniel said, handing my paper back to me.
The warning bell rang throughout the school yard as students made their to classes.
"We should probably get going, don't want to get in trouble on the first day," Jack said, turning around and walking away from the group.
"Alright, bye guys."
"Bye."
I quickly opened my locker and put my bag in it. I shut my locker before meeting up with Nadia near my first period class.
"Guess what!" Nadia screamed, earning the attention from everyone around us.
"Calm yourself, and what?"
"Something in their system messed up and they didn't get me a schedule. So, since me, you, and the boys are all transferring to the online courses, they just gave me the same schedule as you. So, we now have all the same classes."
"Yay! Maybe I'll actually be able to survive Mr. Marshall's class now."
"That's a big maybe."
