Aubrey's POV*
"Wakey, wakey." A voice whispered beside me. My eyelids struggled to flutter open, but I briefly saw Harry, before they closed again. I could tell that it was still dark outside. Go to sleep Harry. "Love, come on, open your eyes."
I tried to open them, but yet again, I failed. The tiredness took over my body. "Alright, if talking won't do a thing, let's see if this will." I felt his lips on mine, kissing me softly, in which my eyes opened widely. He pulled away with a smile. "Happy birthday my love."
"What?" I asked him, confused, and he chuckled. I moved myself up from my laying position, to sitting. Harry was sat right by me, on his knees.
"You forgot your birthday?"
"No, my birthday is —" My eyes darted towards his in shock. "What day is it today?"
"It just struck midnight, so September third." He grinned.
"And that is —" My eyes widened again.
"Your birthday." He held his expression.
"I can't believe I forgot! I forgot my own birthday! You must think I'm an idiot." I put my hands over my face and raised my knees a bit.
"No, you're not an idiot. But you are adorable and cute." He laughed and smiled. He then moved and got up on his feet. "Get up, love."
"Why?"
"Because, I'm going to take you somewhere."
"But it's midnight."
"Exactly." He smirked and pulled me out of bed, so that we were both standing. "Oh, but before we go anywhere. Time for your first birthday gift." He leaned into me and kissed me deeply.
Once we parted, still trying to process everything, I paid attention to what he mentioned. "What do you mean first?" He was silent as he smiled and walked me towards door, tripping over my feet as I put my flats on. "Do I need anything?"
"Nope. Just come on, we're going to be late?" He pulled me outside. He was acting incredibly weird.
"Harry, it's midnight! How could be possibly late for anything?" I said as I closed the door to the car.
"Trust me, we are, and it's not on my watch either!" He looked at me and smiled.
"You're seriously confusing me right now." I couldn't help but grin at his strange comments.
"Good." He laughed as we left the flat, closing the door behind us.
Harry drove through the city streets, until we couldn't see the lights anymore. After a while, everything was dark around us; I had no idea if were still in London or not. It was almost pitch black around us, the only thing bringing out some light, was the moon; but even so, it was just rising and was covered by some clouds. A partly cloudy night it was.
We were in the car for about a half hour, stealing a few smiles every so often. My hand remained in his for the entire ride, kissing it once per minute; I sort of timed it — hey, it was a long and semi-silent ride. I felt the car tilt a bit and figured we had gone up a hill. He parked the car not long after and nodded his head to get out of the car. I had no idea what Harry had planned. He's been secretive about things before, but I have a feeling this will top every idea that he'd ever done.
Some of the things that Harry has ever done for me, have swept me off my feet. Each and every time, I come to a conclusion that there wouldn't be a way for him to surprise me more than the last time, but he always manages to do it. I haven't even seen what he has planned for tonight, or for the rest of the day — that's if he actually does have something, which I'm sure he does — will be incredible.
