Oh my goodness, this is the 50th chapter! I can't even believe it! Thank you so much for all the support, your reads, votes, and comments!
Also, this was one of my favourite chapters to write, so I hope you enjoy it!
Songs for the chapter:
No One Else Comes Close - Backstreet Boys (I'm a 90s girl at heart haha)
Feel Again - OneRepublicHarry's POV*
"Aubrey." I let out after I kissed her again. I couldn't get enough of touching her lips. I wanted to continue kissing her until forever, but I couldn't — at least, not now. Even though I was incredibly into the moment I was in, I had to know what happened from this morning to now.
"You don't need to explain." She mumbled against my cheek, then kissed it. "Can we go home?"
"Of course." I let go of her and turned around to realise that Emma was nowhere to be seen. I was blessed for the sake of that. I could tell based on expression on Aubrey's face, she too was wondering where she went off to, even though I know she didn't care. I grabbed my bag that was still on the ground and unlocked the car door. I'm truly surprised that it wasn't stolen while everything happened. I stepped away from it a few times, with the key in the lock so that I could push Emma away; and then while I spent a good few minutes just having in Aubrey in my arms. Anyone could have easily taken at least the key. I got in the car, pulled out the spare, and kissed her cheek as I did so.
I took the shortest ride home. I knew that she didn't want to talk about what happened in front of people. It wasn't something that she was going to keep it hidden within herself, but only publicly. I had to get home as soon as I could though. I needed to know what happened. I saw her look in the car, each time I peered over at her, she had the biggest smile on her face. I held onto her hand and kissed it so many times, that it could have been glued to my mouth. I missed her and being near her like this.
I let her walk into the flat first and followed her foot steps. She stood silent in the same place she loves to stand. Only then did I realise that she'd been holding onto something the entire time, my paper. I stood by the kitchen as I watched her glance out the window. I couldn't help but smile. I began to take a few steps to where she was, but she turned around quickly, and wrapped her arms around me. She hugged me tight and then found her way back onto my lips, taking her time along my neck. There was no lust, but only passion. Each and every single one of her kisses told the same story; the story of love.
There was only one way that she could physically be closer to me, so I lifted her up, and she wrapped her legs tightly around me. We didn't part the entire time, but I easily found my way towards the couch. When I sat down, she didn't move an inch, as we continued our own personal lip lock session. We both mutually came to a slow stop when we needed to catch our breaths. Our noses remained touching, occasionally brushing one another, and our eyes remained closed. There was no other sound that was made, it only came from us.
I opened my eyes to find hers just fluttering open. Her beautiful emerald eyes sparkled directly at mine. There was that little glimmer that I missed seeing in them. It only appeared when she was truly happy. There wasn't a time where she was joyful where it was missing. They contained so much sincerity in them now, and I knew that she had so much to say, but I needed to talk to her first.
"Harry, I —" Her hands moved from behind my neck down to my chest.
"Rhea, please, can I talk first?" I asked and she nodded. "Before anything, I'm sorry for what I said this morning. I didn't mean it. I was just confused from everything. I honestly thought that you'd forgiven me that day and didn't really know what happened after that. I just missed you and how I wanted to tell you, it just came out incredibly wrong."
