taehyung's eyes fluttered open, rousing joy to bolt up from her seat and gaze down at him in alert. the boy met her eyes, an unreadable expression etched across his face.

joy sighed in relief, "...thank goodness you're awake!" she grinned genuinely. "do you feel okay, taehyung?"

skeptical, taehyung slightly nodded. then groaning, he slowly dragged himself to sit up on the bed. joy helped him by supporting his back with one hand and the other on his shoulder.

"do you need anything?" joy asked. "want me to bring you water? please tell me anything, i'll do whatever i can."

taehyung stared at her, causing joy to feel awkward. "...um?" she muttered, unsure. "w-what is it...?"

squinting his eyes and examining her carefully, taehyung raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"do...i know you?"
