taehyung had been walking with his friends when a familiar girl caught his eye, causing him to stop. the young woman was conversing with another man when suddenly, the male leaned down and gave the girl a peck on the forehead.

taehyung frowned. he didn't like the sight. he hated it. it pained him to the point that he had the desire to run up to them and punch the man right on the face. but he wouldn't. he can't. it was unreasonable.

then, taehyung watched as the pair waved each other goodbye and separated ways with sweet smiles plastered on their pretty faces. but once taehyung was sure that the man was gone, he glanced back to his friends and called out for them.

"hey idiots!" he exclaimed and they all turned around. "i'm gonna take care of something first. you idiots can go without me."

without even waiting for a response, taehyung darted away, the screaming and shouting of his friends cursing at him for ditching them and calling them idiots following him. nevertheless, once he felt the distance between him and the girl was short enough, he slowed down and took a deep breath before calling out.

"irene!" he yelled and the called girl spun her head around to his direction upon hearing her own name. she crinkled her eyebrows when she saw him. why was he calling for her?

not wanting to talk nor look at him, irene averted her gaze and began walking away. seeing this action from her, taehyung sped up and eventually reached her, grabbing a hold of her wrist firmly.

"wait." taehyung said. "i want to talk to you. please listen to me. at least, give me a minute."

with her back still facing taehyung, irene slowly turned around and gazed up at him, eyeing him suspiciously.

"...fine, i'll listen to you." she sighed. "but only for a minute, not a second more than that, do you hear me?"

taehyung nodded, "i understand."
