the nickname sounded undeniably familiar causing joy's ears to perk up the moment it escaped the mouth of a certain someone. looking up, her eyes met a pair of beautiful gentle eyes and joy was instantly captivated. scanning the rest of his face, joy was taken aback by how great his features are: dark raven hair that simultaneously complimented his white skin, his pink moist lips and─

"it's you!" she exclaimed, wide-eyed. "the boy from the hospital!"

grinning, the young man tightened his grasp around joy's waist and teasingly pulled her in even more until their faces were inches closer. flustered, joy tried wiggling away but of course, he was stronger.

"i didn't know you studied here, miss stranger." he whispered while displaying a pretentious innocent smile. "could this be...fate?"

joy went rigid, as in frozen still that her breathing also stopped. she stared at the boy fabbergasted, a 'what-the-heck' look visibly written on her face.

seeing the look on her face, the young male broke into a huge grin as a chuckle escaped his lips. slowly, he let go and scratched his nape.

"haha, i'm sorry." he apologized, but to joy's ears, it didn't sound sincere at all. "i was only teasing you. what's with the look on your face? you looked so...disgusted."

joy frowned deeper the more she watched him laugh. was it fun? was teasing her fun?!

"jerk." she cursed at him, glaring.

"really, im sorry." the boy apologized once again. "it's a habit. teasing is my habit, i can't help it."

joy isn't a person to hold grudges for a long time so sensing that his apology this time was genuine, her expression softened. after all, he helped her before too.

"fine, it's alright." she sighed. "please don't do that again."

"i'll try." he smiled. "by the way, i never got to ask: what's your name, miss stranger?"

"park sooyoung, but you can just call me joy since everyone calls me that."

the boy smirked. "then, i'll call you sooyoung since everybody else calls you joy."

the young woman raised an eyebrow but eventually shrugged, as if it didn't matter. "how about you then? what's your name?"

"it's eunwoo, sooyoung-ssi. cha eunwoo."
