"that's correct." the doctor stated. "to be more specific, it seems that while he perfectly remembers every memory from his life, only one person's existence and the incident was erased from his memories."
jimin frowned, "w-why is that...?" he asked, sparing a quick glimpse at joy who sat far back in the doctor's office room. she had stopped crying and is currently in trance, staring silently at her hands which's fingers were continuously fidgeting.
"during the occurence of the accident, taehyung-ssi's mind was occupied by that person and the happening just right before he hit his head and lost consciousness." the doctor explained. "i believe that, that is the cause."
jimin grimaced and exchanged looks with taehyung's parents who sat right across him.
"...is it possible to recover his memories?"
"i'm not too sure," the doctor shook his head. "he could remember tomorrow. or the next week or month. it could even take a year. perhaps even after a few years, he might still not recover his memories."
jimin let out a exasperated scoff of disbelief while taehyung's parents could only worry for him, their son and mostly, joy. to be the only one forgotten by taehyung must have been too overwhelming ─ in fact, too much ─ for her fragile heart.
