it's my fault, taehyung repeats in his head after he processed the newly obtained information from jimin. it's because of me that she's leaving.

"where is she going?" taehyung asks softly.

jimin shook his head. "i'm sorry but sooyoung asked me not to tell. she didn't want you to know."

taehyung bites his lower lip as he felt his heart squeeze inside his chest. he forces himself to smile but could only managed as much as a straight line on his lips.

"i...see." he mutters. "i guess i can't really blame her then. after all, i hurt her."

jimin sighs as he watched taehyung continue to eat his porridge. scratching the back of his head, he leans down with his elbows resting on his knees and his hands entwined together as he convinced himself that this is was for the betterment of his sister and his best friend.

[next day]

dragging her luggage behind her, joy walks into the airport and bites her lower lip at the sight of other travelers walking around.

"are you really sure about leaving?" jimin asks beside her, doubtful.

joy stares at her brother and nods. "i'm sure."

"i'll miss you, sooyoung." eunwoo, who insisted to come along, blunty said. "i'll come visit you when i have time and money."

joy and eunwoo had gotten closer for the past week. they had exchanged contacts and had constantly texted or called each other everyday. for the last week, they had already hung out about four times. joy would always feel comforted and safe whenever she was with him and she loved the feeling because she could forget what happened in the past whenever she was with eunwoo.

"you don't have to." joy shakes her head, smiling.

"but i want to, though." eunwoo grins.

glancing past joy, eunwoo caught sight of jimin glaring at the two of them, particularly at him. eunwoo smiles at jimin, who rolled his eyes and scoffed as he looked away. to be blunt, let's just say that they haven't been getting along.

the three got on the escalator, headed towards the second floor. then, they found themselves seats while they wait for joy's flight.

"jeju island is a nice place." eunwoo commented. "i go there whenever we can during holidays to visit my aunt and uncle. i wish i could live there too but my family's here in seoul."

"well, you can visit, like you said, only if you have money." joy chuckles.

the truth was, joy is moving out to jeju to live with her grandparents and to also continue her study there.

a few minutes pass when the time came for joy's flight. standing from her seat, jimin and eunwoo walked joy towards the departure area. facing the two boys, let a smile cover her lips as she gazed at them with moist eyes.

"it's time to leave," joy said, almost inaudibly. "i'll miss all of you."

pressing his lips together, jimin stepped forward and reached around his sister to give a tight hug. wrapping his muscled arms around her, he caressed her hair, savoring the moment before letting go from their embrace.

"call me if you ever need anything, okay?" jimin reminded joy. "take care of yourself. give our grandparents a hug for me."

"got it." joy nodded.

switching her gaze on eunwoo, she peered up at his tall figure, meeting his eyes. eunwoo returned a smile and landed his right hand on the top of joy's head, ruffling her hair.

"see you, sooyoung-ah." he smiled, beaming at her.

grinning, joy swatted his hand away and took a step back. "i have to go now." she stated. "bye."

waving at the two males, joy turned around on her heels and began walking away from them. letting the smallest smile form on her lips, she whispered under her breath,

"goodbye, kim taehyung."
