Chapter 25

I stood there shocked as I saw Vlad awake and not in a coma. As I stared at him, I noticed that he had a little bit of color to his skin, but didn't look as sickly pale like the last time I saw him. Also he had a bunch of bandages still on him everywhere, but he no longer had an oxygen mask on his face. Not only that but he also looked a bit tired like he hadn't  had a single drop of sleep. "What? What's wrong, you look like you've seen a ghost." Vlad said snapping me out of my thoughts. 

   "Oh sorry, its just that you're awake!" I said kind a enthusiastically.

"Yeah I know, I'm very happy that I'm no longer in darkness and can see now." He said as he smiled happily at me.

    "Oh... well that must be great." I said, not quite sure how to respond to what he had said.

"Yeah, so what are you doing in here anyway? You do know you're not allowed in here right now." Vlad said as he crossed his arms, and looked at me sternly.

  "Ah well I wanted to ask you somethings that's why I sneaked out of my room to come here, even though I was told to mot come here." I said, then he smiled devilishly at me and said, "Well I'm impressed, it must have took guts to come in here, I mean I heard a nurse walk by the room. How in the world did she not see you? I'm only asking because you came in just a few minutes after she went past my room." 

  "Well surprisingly I don't know how I did it, but I thought I was going to be toast when I saw her walking down the hall, but when she didn't say anything to me, it made me wonder why. That's when I noticed that I was invisible." After I had said this Vlad's eyes grew wide and then he said," Wait, so you're telling me that you were able to get past the nurse because you were invisible? That's not possible you must have done it some other way." 

"What do you mean," I said a bit confused, "I know what happened, the nurse walked straight past me, I looked at myself and found that I was invisible. Then when I went to come into here, I was no longer invisible."

 "NO! That's not possible you must have used some type of concealing spell or something." Vlad kind of yelled at me.

"Vlad, I know what I did, plus I don't know any spells. So how would I be able to have used one? Plus why are you so freaked out by what I did?" I said to him to him in a bothered tone. 

  "You don't understand, shape shifters aren't able to make themselves invisible, its an ability they don't have. I don't know how you were able to do that, but I know that it will take a long time to figure out how you did that." Vlad replied.

 "Wait so you are telling me that I was able to do something that no shape shifter can do?"

    "Yes."

"That doesn't sound right, I mean maybe a stronger shape shifter than me could make themselves invisible right?"

   "No, Luna not even the strongest shape shifter that ever lived could make themselves invisible. Shape shifters don't have that ability."

"Are you sure about that?"

        "Yes! I'm quite sure, the only way I can think of how you could be able to do that is if you a half shape shifter, half-"

 "Vampire," I said as Vlad gave me an annoyed look,"What? Isn't that what you were going to say?"

"Yes," Vlad growled at me, "I was, but then you interrupted me, you're lucky that I'm not totally better yet or I would have-."

        "What, beat me up, ha, yeah right like I would have let you do that." I interrupted again as vlad gave me another annoyed look. 

"Can you let me talk? I really don't like it when people  interrupt me." Vlad said in what sounded like a whining voice.

         "Well sorry, gee you don't have to act like you're a drama queen" I said, and then added,"Well go on, what were you going to say?"

"Nevermind it doesn't matter now."

        "Ok then." I said as Vlad looked away from me and seemed to be looking for something.

"So... what are you in here for? Vlad said again as he continued looking for something.

        "Well I wanted to know the real reason why you attacked me and-"

 "No."

        "Excuse me?"

"No, I told you the reason all ready, is there any other reason why you're here?"

        "No there is not! Vlad you are lying, I know you are because Kiku told me that he visited you and said that you told him the real reason!"

"Wait!" Vlad said as his attention came back to me now, "He told you why?"

"Uh no..." I said as I saw the terror in Vlad's eyes. "He didn't, he told me that you wanted to tell me yourself, so I figured that now would be the time." I also added as Vlad grew even more terrified by what I said, "No, no, no get out of here now! I don't want to see you or speak to you right now, leave immediately!" He said to me and swept his arm across his chest as if to ward me off. When that happened, I felt a rush of wind hit me, making me hit the wall behind me. This then caused me to hit my head, when Vlad saw what he did, he then started to panic, which started to scare me, because one it didn't hurt that much. Two, the machine that Vlad was hooked up to started to beep a lot, Next the worst thing that could happen, happened, Vlad suddenly passed out and the machine went silent, all because I was stupid enough to bother Vlad. Then, before  I could do anything, I started to hear  hurried footsteps coming down the hallway towards Vlad's room. So I quickly dove under Vlad's bed and hoped not to be found under her. Once I was under the bed, the door to Vlad's room flew open and a whole bunch of nurses rushed into the room, and started to cheek Vlad to see if has was ok. While this was going on, all the nurses were communing with each other over what happened. As I Did my best to listen to what the nurses were saying, but I couldn't help but sit there and panic over what had happened to Vlad. Even though I still didn't understand why Vlad freaked out in the first place.

         As I tried to calm down and think about what was going on, one of the nurses mentioned that Vlad must have woken up, for some time and then had a panic attack about something, which made his heart rate increase, then that caused the little bit of blood that he had in his body, (because he still had a ways to go before the transfusion was finished) to quickly go to the parts of the body that needed blood the most, causing him to faint. Hearing this made me fell horrible for mentioning the reason why he attacked me. Then another nurse agreed with that nurse but then said that after he fainted, his heart rate started to slow down and then go back to normal. This made me feel a little better, although I still felt bad for Vlad. Then the most shocking thing happened, Vlad woke up and started to call for me. Hearing him doing this was interesting only because he wasn't quite awake all the way, from what it sounded like under his hospital bed.

         It  kind of sounded like he was half awake, half asleep, which I found a bit weird because he had fainted, he didn't fall asleep, but then one of the nurses was trying to comfort him, while telling the other nurses that he must be in a daze. Hearing this confirmed to me the reason why Vlad sounded half asleep. Then once the nurses calmed Vlad down, they all decided that it was ok to leave the room. So I also decided that I would do the same and leave, since I figured that I must be invisible again. So right as I was about to go out of the room, I heard what sounded like Vlad, kind of  mumble to himself, "Luna you should know that I love you." Then the door shut right behind me before I could see if he saw me not.
