Luna, A shape shifter's tale, Mysterious happenings (Book 2)

Chapter 22

     "Okay Luna are you ready this time?" Kiku said to me as he held a needle in his hand.

"Yeah I guess." I responded.

   "Alright then, now hold your breath and count to ten okay." 

     "Alright." I said and then held my breath and started to count to ten, as Kiku stuck the needle into my back, so that he could numb it and work on removing the curse from it for the 2nd round. (Because Kiku told me he was doing this little by little to conserve his energy, so he's going the process in rounds.) Even though Kiku told  me that  I should hold my breath and count to 10, the needle still hurt, but not as much as it did the other two times.Probably because the effect of the curse was slowly wearing off so it made things hurt less. Anyways after Kiku had put the numbing drug into me everything was OK because I could feel anything. Plus I was really happy that we were back to getting rid of the curse. Only because the closer we were to getting rid of the curse, the closer I m to leaving this hospital and also Vlad (that jerk); I mean I'd rather be home and not having to be here and knowing that Vlad was in the other room being operated on.

  Just because of what Vlad said to me still made me very mad. Although I couldn't wait to tell Chrissie all about this, because then we could gang up on Vlad after he gets out of the hospital and make him pay for all the grief he has given me. "So Luna, I was wondering, could you tell me what happened between you and Vlad? I know it's none of my business, but maybe I could give some in sight on what happened." Kiku said to me, which brought me out of my thoughts.

   "Oh um I guess I could." 

     "Alright then."

 "Well I was talking to him about the real reason why he attacked me, and he pretty much told me that he wasn't sure and that he attacked me for no good reason."

 "Hmm I see, well uh to be honest Luna, since I'm a guy I kind of understand how  guy's mind works, and-"

  "What are you trying to say?"

    "Well what I was about to say before you interrupted me; was that he does know why he did what he did, but he's probably not comfortable telling you because he could be afraid of what you think or actually even afraid of you." 

  "Oh, uh wow... I didn't even think of it like that. Wow I feel so horrible now, and he even tried to stop me from leaving the room."

  "See he probably realized he chose the wrong words and wanted to make things clear."

    "Oh, okay. Maybe after this round, I could go back and apologize to him."

"Uh yeah, sorry I can't let you do that."

   "Why not?"

"Because when I'm done with this round of removing the curse; visiting hours will be over and so that is why you can't see him. Also I don't want anyone in his room for a while ok?"

   "Ok. Why don't you want any one in his room for a while?"

    "Cause I want to talk to him about something and I don't want to be interrupted, when I talk to him."

  "Oh ok."

 "Alright then, five more minutes and then I will have to take a break."

  "Ok." Then after that the room grew very silent, except for the beeping of the machines that were in the room. So while the silence lingered for awhile, I started to think of a plan to find  way to sneak into Vlad's room and talk to him again.
