no one remembered her. her name, existence, birthday, anything. her name was sarah. she was only known as the loner in class who never socialised.

after a few lonely and cold months, she managed to make a few friends. out of all the friends she made, she felt that her closest friend was a certain green-haired boy by the name yamaguchi tadashi.

like her, he had very little friends. before he met her, his closest friend was tsukishima kei. the blonde was the shorter male's only friend since their junior high days.

some time after he met her, he always felt the need to talk to her. sometimes, whenever he wanted to talk to her, he would get tongue-tied and lose his train of thought. even if he started talking, he would stutter and not get his point across. he also felt butterflies in his stomach and would feel his cheeks flaring up.

it could only mean one thing.

he liked her. like "yamaguchi wa sarah wa aishiteru" like.

yamaguchi wa sarah wa aishiteru = yamaguchi loves sarah

however, he was too dense to notice his own feelings towards her.

one day, he was sitting in class with tsukishima, eating out of his bento. most of the students had left the classroom, and only a handful were left.

"you like her, don't you?"

yamaguchi's head whipped around at demon speed, his face tomato red, "e-ehh?"

"don't you dare 'ehh' me," the blonde said, leaning back on his chair, "you do like her."

"i-i have no idea who you're talking about!" the freckled male lied with an awkward laugh.

kei sighed, "i was referring to sarah."

tadashi looked away, "she only sees me as a friend."

the glasses-wearing male clicked his tongue in response, "it's tiring seeing both of you act so dense around each other. just confess already, yamaguchi."

his shorter friend shook his head, "you don't understand, tsukki."

"i do understand," the said male said before standing up, "surei shimasu."

surei shimasu = excuse me

sarah walked into the classroom as qq rambled about her ships with jam. the bespectacled female sat at her desk and began fidgeting with her keychains on her pencil case.

suddenly, the door opened and in stepped tsukishima. he walked up towards sarah and said, "yamaguchi called."

"huh?" the girl said, a little confused.

"he needs your help," he continued, "he's in our classroom, and he said he needed your help."

she immediately stood up and bounded towards the 1-4 classroom. she whammed the door open and all the students looked at her.

"yamaguchi, you needed my help?" she said as she made her way towards him, trying to calm herself down.

"n—" he began, before realising who did this.

tsukishima kei.

damn that boy.

he took a deep breath. well, here he goes.

"yes, i needed your help," he said, "i want to ruin our relationship."

"wait what?" sarah said, a little taken aback.

"i want us to change from friends to lovers," he said quickly before standing up and bowing so that he hid his reddening face, "will you go out with me?"

silence. the whole classroom's gaze was locked onto them.

and then...

"say yes say yes say yes say yes!"

the students began chanting and clapping their hands as they said it. she was bewildered and finally made a decision.

"yes."

he stood back up, "mazeka?!?!"

mazeka = really; seriously

she nodded.

he grinned really wide and grabbed her into a tight hug.

maybe these outcasts were not outcasts in each other's lives after all.
