"where do babies come from?"

sarah choked at the question, pounding her chest furiously after gulping a mouthful of lemonade, while tadashi's face burned as he patted his wife's back.

"come again, hiyori?" tadashi asked.

"where do babies come from?" the young yamaguchi hiyori asked again, her dark brown eyes sparkling with curiousity, her hand clutching onto a stuffed teddy bear.

tadashi's face remained red as he racked his brain for pg explanations to explain the wonderful creation of babies. of course, he couldn't tell her straight up "babies are a result of sex, my child". absolutely not.

as tadashi was going to die from brain failure, sarah said, "hiyori, babies are man-made structures."

hiyori's eyebrows furrowed, "what's a man-made structure?"

"things that are made by men," tadashi explained, before picking her up, "and now it's time for bed."

"men as in humans?" hiyori asked, "or men as in boys like you, oto-san?"

"humans," the father said with a gentle smile.

the two parents tucked their little four-year-old daughter into bed when hiyori asked, "could i have a little sibling? a brother or sister, maybe?"

tadashi's face went bright red once more, and sarah said, "no."

"but i want a little sibling!" hiyori whined.

"yes yes, oka-san and i will discuss about it," tadashi said as he pulled the blanket over the little girl, "oyasumi."

"goodnight," hiyori said with a yawn.

she would know how babies are made. in due course.

extended

after closing hiyori's bedroom door, tadashi whispered with reddened cheeks, "so... um, am i going to be the seme??"

sarah hit his arm as she said, "yams, no."

"but you are yams too," tadashi said with a little grin.

"shush it. and no to having a second kid."
