Chapter 33-2. Round TWO!

Hindi ako tanga. I know what’s exactly going on with me. I may pretend not to feel anything. I may fool myself over and over again that this is NOTHING... but I know... Oh I know alright – that this NOTHING is just a d**n lie.

Siguro nga, i’m just an ordinary girl. Makulit. Maingay. Pasaway. Sabog. Pero... if there’s one thing I am very proud of. Yun ay ang pagiging deep thinker ko. Yep. I may not look like it, pero... hindi ako yung tipong gumagawa o nagsasalita without thinking. 

I think.

Yeah. And that goes without saying, that I’m the MIND OVER HEART kind of girl.

Yep. Mind over heart.

Logic. Common Sense. Whatever you want to call it. 

MY MIND PREVAILS.

No, scratch that.

MY MIND SHOULD PREVAIL.

Hindi naman kaduwagan ito ee diba? Tama, hindi ito kaduwagan... it’s just that...knowing Miguel Josef Uy Monteverde?? Hahaha. I know exactly kung saan mauuwi ang NOTHING na ito. Maganda ng ihinto na ito ngayong maaga pa right? 

Nope. Sorry to tell you, friends. I’m not the martyr type either. Haha. Besides, alam naman nating lahat ang magiging ending nito ee... hindi ito fairytale. Hindi ito tulad nung mga lovestory na nababasa naten. Hindi ito tulad nung mga palabas na napapanuod naten na laging happy ending. Hindi ako si Snow White. Mas lalong hindi ako si Princess Fiona.

This is reality.

And reality bites!!!

SO GOD, THIS JUST GOT TO STOP!!

Right now!! 

Sabi ko naman noon-noon pa sayo Lord diba? Wag naman na si Sef. Please? Iba na lang oh. Wag na siya. Hindi naman ako choosy ee. Okay na nga saken kahit apat mata. Kahit dalawa ilong. BASTA WAG LANG SI MIGUEL JOSEF UY MONTEVERDE!!! 

If I kiss you right now, magagalit ka ba saken?

WWWWAAAAAAAAAAH!! What was he thinking??

d**n!! HINDI PWEDE TOH!!! 

THAT GUY IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

Yung scene kagabi ang pauli-ulit na naglalaro sa isip ko. AAH. SHEET. No, wait. Hahaha. Don’t get me wrong though. It wasn’t the kiss I am thinking about. Seriously haha. Sige na, kanwari na lang naniniwala kayo. Pero yung totoo? It was the way his eyes looked at me that I am more bothered about. 

“Hoy!” It was Borge who was waving a hand in front of my face. Nagkita kasi kami ngayon dito sa Trinoma. I just need to get my mind off of HIM. Please. “Ellie, iniinom yang kape... hindi tinititigan.”

Without a word, I took a sip.

Borge looked at me a confuse expression all over her face. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Huh?” Sorry. Pero wala pa kong plano na sabihin kung anong WRONG sakin ngayon.

“Is this about Sara?” Aaaw. Muka bang si Sara nasa isip ko? Halos nawala na nga sa isip ko na pinagtutulakan ako paalis ni Sara nun. “Look Ellie... hindi naman niya sinasadya yun ee. Nagpunta nga pala siya Australia, dun sila magcelebrate ng Christmas at New Year.”

“Aah.” Nasa Australia na pala barkada ko hindi ko man lang agad nalaman. Sana nakapag usap man lang sana kami bago siya umalis. I smiled. “Dapat pasalubungan niya ko!!”

“I know what you need.” Borge’s eyes sparked, yung kapag meron siyang naiisip na exciting. “Tamang-tama December, punta tayo Enchanted Kingdom!!! Hahaha.” She started to look in her bag para sa phone niya. She started dialling. “Tama, tatawagan ko na sila Meg. Let’s do it this Saturday.”

Sa Saturday? I felt my heart thud. But... Saturday is... pero, thinking about it... ayoko ng nga palang makasama si Sef ng magisa lang.

“Bawal ang hindi magsama ng DATE!! Nyahahaha.” Borge was laughing like crazy.

Ewan ko ba kung papano ako nagkaroon ng baliw na kaibigan na kagaya nitong si Beatrice Gong-gora Natividad!!! Hahaha. 

But then again, I'm thankful for her craziness... because she just gave me a brilliant idea!! 

Saturday
11:30 am
Starbucks malapit sa MUP ulit...

Miguel Josef Uy Monteverde was just about to park his car outside when he noticed Ellie, who got down from the jeep.

Pareho silang two hours late.

Sef was supposed to bail on her. Dapat talaga pupunta na siya mag-isa sa Laguna but for some reasons unknown to him, BUMALIK pa siya... he made the U-turn pabalik dito sa Starbucks, kaya na late siya.

Pagbaba ni Ellie ng jeep, napansin agad ng dalaga ang kotse ni Sef. He was late kagaya niya, kararating lang nila pareho. Well, that was weird. Sef was never late.

The moment Sef walked out his car he was all smiles at her. Yung parang wala siyang kababalaghang ginawa nung isang gabi sa veranda ng pinsan ni Ellie.

“So,” Sef said as he was walking towards her. “San mo gustong mag-date ngayon? Would you prefer long walks on the beach? Holding hands while eating candle-light dinner?” Nakapang-asar agad ang binata. “Or, kissing under the moonlight?”

By the mention of kiss, he noticed the way Ellie’s cheeks turned red. She was looking angrily at him. He knew she remembered that night – that night when he tried to kiss her. He was thinking, kaya siguro namumula ang muka ng dalaga because she was mad at him. He felt a stab on his chest.

Tss, the hell I care!!

“Alam mo?” Ellie said, obvious yung inis sa boses ng dalaga. “Pinanganak ka ba talagang manyak?”

Sef gave an amused laughter. “You actually think that I was going to kiss you that night?” It was a question filled with mockery.

Parang tumagos yung bala ng baril kay Ellie sa pagkakasabing ito ni Sef. Of course, she should have known better. Siya na nga nagsabi nun pa ee, may taglay na kalandian si Sef. He was born a TEASE, a flirt. And he was good at it. Alam niya from the start, TRIP-TRIP lang ito ng binata. This whole date thing was just a joke to begin with. Nagsimula lang naman sa pustahan toh ee. What more should she expect? 

This gave her more reason to STOP her feelings.

Sabi sayo Ellie ee, TIGIL MO NA YAN HABANG MAAGA PA!!

Ellie, for once, wasn’t able to say anything in return and Sef felt a pang of guilt. He shouldn’t have said that. “Oi, clown!” Sabi ni Sef pabalik na ulit sa kotse niya. “Tara na nga, bilis!”

She frowned at him in evident anger. “At san naman tayo pupunta?” Kung pwede lang, aayaw na si Ellie sa pustahan na ito. But then, kung ma-pride si Sef. MAS DOBLE SA MT. EVEREST ANG SAKANYA. Backing out on this would mean losing. At meron siyang reputasyong pinoprotektahan. Hindi umaatras ang mga Dimaculangan sa kanilang mga salita. 

It was a good question, really. Sef actually has no idea where he would take her. At wala rin siya lalong plano na dalin ang dalaga sa bahay nila Ivan. There’s just no way in hell he would take her there!! No way!! Siguradong sasakit lang ang ulo niya nun. Knowing that andun sila Paul, Jerry and many other people comprising his social life? Haha. Imposible talaga na magdala siya ng CLOWN dun.

“Meron akong gustong puntahan!!” Ellie then said, sounding like a child once more.

Sef looked questioningly at her. “At san naman yun?”

Ellie then grinned with an excitement of a little girl on her. “SA ENCHANTED KINGDOM!!”

Pano ba naman kasi siya makakatanggi? The way she said it made Sef laugh. Pumasok na lang siya sa kotse niya and started the engine. "Enchanted Kingdom it is!" Sabi niya. 

Siguro nga, hindi na makaka wala si Ellie sa pustahang ito... pero wala namang nagsabing hindi pwede makipag GROUP DATE, diba? Hahahaha.

Besides, konting tiis na lang naman ee...
