We have searched everywhere for Malak,she was no where to be found.
That girl is something else
"Baba,I found this on her study table"Zaina said,handing me a piece of paper
I opened it and its her writing
As salamu alaikum,Baba
I know you must be worried and after this letter you might be upset
But is for the best
I went off to Abuja,to follow my dreams
Become a nurse,make you proud
Make mama proud
Please forgive me.
I will come back only if you want me to
I will call you when I get to a call centre.

I squeezed the paper and threw it away
"What does it say?"Inna asked looking around
Zaina carried the paper and read it
She gasped then spoke"we have to go get her,she is all alone"
"Alone?"yusra asked looking at me
"Your sister went off to Abuja"I replied sitting on the chair
Yusra gasped"Baba,go get her"she said anxiously
"Nobody is going,she has made up her mind to leave.I made up my mind that nobody will go after her
She herself will come back sooner and tell me i was right"I said thoughtfully
"And if that never happens?"Inna asked with a sheepish smile
"Then she is on her own,Inna"I replied angrily
"I encouraged her to go"Inna confessed,my daughters gasped and I shook my head.
"I knew she couldn't do it alone"I said,got up and left to the nearest mosque.
I want her back safe and sound but maybe it's her punishment for going against me and I am not going after her.
But as a father I'm going to pray for her.
