"Well, the meat could have been packed better." I said to myself.
I was packing it neater so that it was easier to count and grab when needed. I was a bit startled when I unexpectedly heard someone talk to me.

"And what are you doing there?" it was Courtney.
"Ah the guys wanted help. You?"
"Lindi." she rolled her eyes.
She was absolutely cute.

"Haha yeah hey. So what have you been up to lately. You don't call anymore." I said.
"My friend! You know how hectic life is. I should have been keeping in touch but hey! I'm still busy with my degree in Business. How about you?" she asked.
"Well, you know me. A lawyer at heart."
"How is that going for you?"
"Challenging but I am enjoying every moment of it."
"You should, how far are you?"
"I have another 2 years to go."
"Awesome, man."
"You?" I asked her.
"Same." she smiled at me.

That smile on its own sent shivers down my spine. I could just watch her talk all day since she can't really keep much silence and is probably expecting me to ask another question. So I thought it would be good to ask about her past love.

"So, what ever happened to you and Sheldon?"
"Oh, goodness. Story of the past. He left me, remember? I got over him. It wasn't really so bad."

I could see how genuinely she was over him. I'm not sure why I wanted to know that.

"You should be crying over him by now." I said.
"Haha, no. He wasn't giving me enough kisses and hugs. Nothing to miss there." she said.
"What kind of hugs?"
"Hugs hugs. His touch wasn't soothing. So either way..." she said.
"Mhm maybe you should feel my hugs."

I wanted to touch her so much. I wanted her close to me. She has always been really sexy and I've never had the chance to explore her in a different way. The way a boyfriend or the lucky guys would. This was my shot. I hope it doesn't end bad.

"Come on, Samuel are you serious?" she rolled her eyes.
"Well, not all of us are that bad."
"Haha wow, trust my friend to want to prove a point to me!" she said.

Lindi walked in.

"Damnit" I said to myself.

"Guys, is everything the way it should be in here?"
"Yes, yes." Courtney and I answered.
Courtney convinced Lindi that whatever she needed we would bring it out in a few seconds.

"Cool, don't be long." Lindi said.

Courtney turned back to look at me with that beautiful smile on her face. Why is she so beautiful all of a sudden?

"So, you were saying, friend of mine." she said.
"Come, let me hug you." I said.
"You've hugged me for so many years, what would have changed now." she laughed.

Even her laugh. Just that laugh.

"Just come."
"Okay okay fine."

She brought herself closer to me. She is much shorter so she would fit perfectly in my arms. I held her waist and brought her closer to my chest. She was so warm, so soft. She felt so good. I was tempted to do more but she was still my friend, I had to respect that and besides, she pulled herself out of my arms.

"And?" I looked down at her. She looked like she was on fire but wanted to hide it.
"You win, it feels different." she laughed.
I know she laughs to dismiss something she really wants to say but I wasn't going to push it.

She was turning red in the face and I was enjoying that sight when Justin walked in. Justin's serious face slowly turned into a smirk. It's a guy thing. He had his own ideas.

"I was just checking on...hey, what's going on here?"

"Nothing, nothing. Let me be on my way, Lindi is waiting." Courtney said.
"Same here." I said.

"You guys really don't have to mind me." Justin said.

"Let me get going, Sam." Courtney said.

She grabbed the cutlery and went well on her way. I couldn't stop looking at her. That structure and walk was so perfect. This is my friend. My childhood friend all grown up.

When she was out, Justin asked.

"Come on, bro. Tell me."
"No. There is nothing, man. Come let's get going."

We went into the hall to get busy.
