At the back of my mind I knew exactly what we had caused but I trusted her to do the right thing. She's a very careful person. She wouldn't let me down on this one.
I spent the morning again on my assignments. It was a relaxed day at home. I wasn't seeing Courtney today. I wasn't even in the mood.
I just needed that bit of reassurance that she had done the right thing so I called her.
"Hey." She answered.
"Hey, did you take the pills?"
"Yup. Wouldn't risk it. I'm not ready. Are you?"
"Heavens no. I'm not."
"Don't worry, we're safe. I love you."
"I love you too."
Ah! At least. I trusted my girl to do the right thing.
