Lizelle had spent the day with Rejoice, getting ready for the wedding. It was in two weeks and time wasn't on our side.
I was in bed later that evening reading the Sports magazine when Lizelle slammed the door in. She opened her her wardrobe and threw clothes off her hangers.
"Whoa whoa Lizelle what's wrong? Who ruined your day? And where are you going?" I asked casually.
She didn't answer me. She went to the bathroom and grabbed her travelling bag.
"I want a transfer. I'm going back to where I come from. I can't be here!" she said.
"What? Wait what's wrong. It can't be that bad talk to me, babe."
"I asked you about Courtney and you told me nothing was going on!"I ran out of bed
"Nothing is going on between Courtney and I."
"Really? Explain Mitchell!"
She caught me offguard."I can explain! It's not what it seems like."
My phone lit up. It was Rejoice. Rejoice was behind this!"Yes. Rejoice told me! The secrets! The lies!"
"I didn't cheat on you, Lizelle Hunchkins!"She paused...
"Then what did you do?" she narrowed her eyes.
"How old is Mitchell?" I asked her.
"I don't know. He looks pretty much like a baby still."
"He's two. Two years old now. " I was surprised at how I could remember my son's age.
She stared into the wall and slowly stepped back."That day....that day when you introduced me to her, you knew exactly it was your baby she was carrying!!! You lied to me! How could you!" she yelled.
I couldn't lie any further. My lies were getting to her.
"Yes! Yes Lizelle! I lied to you! I'm sorry! I didn't want to lose you!" I said.
"You chose me over your son! What kind of sick pig are you Samuel! I tell you what, this engagement is over."She threw the ring on the bedside and walked out of the bedroom.
I created a mess by lying to the woman I loved about my son and his mother, the woman I had also previously loved.
