Lizelle and I were going out today after class. We couldn't wait. Although we were concentrating, we couldn't stop winking at each other and throwing signals because only we knew what was going between us. She was the centre of my world.
"You think I should go out looking like this?" she asked when we left class.
"I think you look amazing." I smiled.
"No. Let me go back to res and you will pick me up?"
"Sure, no problem."This afternoon was going to be fun.
Later in the afternoon, we were out and about in the city. I never usually go out too much but I felt she deserved the time of her life. I took her to see a movie. It was Sci-fi. We then went out for milkshakes at Dan's. We parked far so that we can take a walk in the city together. I was having so much fun and it made me happy to see her happy. I felt like I was loved. I felt like someone actually understood me and loved me enough to not mess up if we ever were faced with a tough situation.
While Lizelle was "dance walking" on the pavement my phone lit up.
It was Courtney.
"Ah." I said.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"This girl...doesn't give up."
"Oh, who?" she asked casually.
"You won't know her. We broke up and she can't get over it."
"Oh? When?"
"Ag it doesn't matter. Long ago." I answered.I loved how Lizelle didn't follow up on situations. She treated it casually, let it go and carried on "dance walking" for me. I held her hand and "dance walked" with her.
