One thing this party made me realize is that I will always be quite a bad dancer. Courtney  and I danced a lot when we were younger. She wasn't any better. We were having a good time but she's all I could think about. I saw her walk up to Henry and curiosity struck me. It struck me because their conversation was longer than usual.

It looked as if they were spying on someone online but I wasn't sure. It was just really long and to be honest I loved it when she was near me. It was sad that I was going to leave early for my little nephews. I made a promise to the boys and I have to keep it. Regardless, this is where I want to be tomorrow. She makes it worth the return tomorrow.

I was planning to tell her I would be leaving but I saw her coming my way. She stood right next to me. I swear if we were to date she'd be perfect for me.

"Some of our friends would make good couple, right?" she said, randomly.

I was amazed at how randomly that came up but I answered her.

"Definitely." I laughed.
"Well, that ship has sailed for me. I don't know, there aren't any good men I'm coming across." she said.

Surprised that SHE could be single, I answered her.
"Well I could say the same. I've tried with women but nothing works. And excuse me. There are good men out here!"
"Haha, like who! Tell me."
"Come on, look at me."
"Shut up, Sam." she laughed.
Oh, her laugh.

I couldn't help myself. I held her arm and watched as she gave in and lay her head on my chest. I've seen this happen when we were 7, 8 and 9. All the years.

"I have to leave early today. I will be back to help pack up tomorrow." I told her.
"Oh, where are you off to?"
"Need to drop off my nephews at the movies. I made them a promise."
"That's sweet. So I guess I will see you tomorrow then." she said.
"Yes. Definitely."
"Goodbye then, Sam. It was good to see you, my friend."
"See you, Courtney."

I was on my way. Should I ask for her numbers today or wait until tomorrow? Tomorrow sounds okay...but this can't wait.

I walked back to her and pulled out my phone. I was silly for not saying a word but it's like she understood me.
"Your existing numbers, please! So I can keep in touch with you." I smiled.
"Sure." she smiled back.

She entered her number but women take forever to do anything so I just stood there watching her entering her number.

She gave me my phone back and I wasn't sure if hugging her would be too much as I've had so much physical contact with her already today.

What the hell.
I grabbed her and pulled her in harder and closer to me this time.

"Goodbye." she smiled.
"Bye Courtney." I said.

I walked out and felt so happy! I scored!
