"How are you?" she asked.
"I'm okay. Getting there."
"Where is Lizelle?"
I remained silent
"Don't want to talk about it?"
"No."
"Okay. I won't shove it down your throat then."
"How's the little one?" I asked her.
"Growing...growing...doctor said this one will be a big baby."
"I'm not surprised." I chuckled. My sister has always been a rather large woman. It bares me no surprise that she will be having a big baby.
"How about yours?" she asked me.
My heart sank. I couldn't answer much but I tried.
"A healthy growing baby. Growing at a normal rate unlike some people." I joked.
"Don't tease." she joked.
"Well it's the truth."To be honest I didn't know much anymore since Lizelle left. She was keeping me away from our child and it was hurting me in every way possible.
There was some silence for a while. My sister was looking around.
"So when are you leaving here?"
"As soon as I am better. So they say."
"It better be soon. I'm sure your wife misses you regardless of what happened between the two of you, honestly."
"You reckon?"
"Yup. You're a good man at heart. She would be a fool to play with you."
"See why I love you." I touched her face.
"Well you will always be my baby brother."
