83) Chance At Happiness

A/N: I've gotten this idea for a long time. I've gotten a list of ideas for possible books but I'm not certain if I could write this story long enough for it to become a book. So I've just made it into a one-shot.

FYI: Kerry is the actual name of Robbie's girlfriend.

Peter Pan X Robbie Kay X Reader

The sound of a telephone ringing was heard around the house. It was the only noise that could be heard inside. There wasn't a radio or a television on. (Y/N) ran down to pick up the phone.

"Hello?" She answered.

"(Y/N)?" (Y/N) heard her best friend's voice, Kerry, on the other side.

"Oh hey Kerry," (Y/N) smiled. "What's up?"

"I've got amazing news to tell you (Y/N)!" Kerry said.

"What is it?" (Y/N) asked, wondering what good news her best friend could give her.

"Robbie and I. We're together!"

(Y/N) froze when she heard the news. Her eyes widened and started to well up with tears.

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)?" She heard Kerry's voice in the other side. Her voice brought her back of reality.

"Oh sorry," she apologized. "I-I'm happy for the both of you," she tried not to get her voice to crack.

"(Y/N) are you alright?"

"I'm fine," she lied once more. "I'm just at a loss for words. I'm happy for the both of you. Congrats," she tried to show enthusiasm. "Hope you guys will be happy together."

"Thanks! Do you want to talk to Robbie?"

"N-No," (Y/N) quickly replied.

"Why not?"

"I'm just a little busy. I have to go and run a few errands," she scratched the back of her neck.

"Oh alright. I'll talk to you later."

"Bye."

(Y/N) hung up the phone and tears escaped her eyes.

(Y/N), Robbie, and Kerry have been best friends ever since they were kids. (Y/N) has always liked Robbie different and she's somehow hoped that they could see together. That he'd see her differently one day. No one knew about her crush on Robbie, not even Kerry. She thought that her crush on him will disappear over the years but then tragedy hit.

At the age of 20, both (Y/N)'s parents died in a car crash. They left her with some money and the house that she lives in. (Y/N) was completely depressed and devastated. She had no idea what to do. She tries to go to school and finish college but dealing with her parent's death was just too hard for her. Kerry knew and wanted to be there for her best friend but because of her modeling career, she couldn't always be with her.

So Robbie covered for her and was there for (Y/N) in her time of need. He was with there when she couldn't sleep. He was the shoulder that she could cry on. He was always there for her and because of that, her feelings grew but she doesn't want them too. But it was too late.

(Y/N) went to her room and locked the door. She cried and cried until she fell asleep.
