105) Love At First Sight

Newt X Reader

A gasp escaped her lips and (Y/N) opened her eyes only to see darkness surrounding her. (Y/N) sat up and felt as if she was moving since the cold metal that she was lying on, was rattling. (Y/N) felt as if she was ascending somewhere. She sat up and felt that she was in some sort of cage.

"Hello!" She yelled out. "Hello! Is someone out there?"

She knew that that was probably the worst idea to scream out if she was kidnapped, but she had a feeling this was something more than that.

"Where am I?!" She yelled once more.

It was then she heard a blaring noise that made her jump in shock. She covered her ears and curled herself up into a ball, hoping that the noise would stop. (Y/N) was too occupied with the sound that she didn't notice at first that the cage that she was in, stopped moving.

Bright light made its way inside. (Y/N) uncovered her ears since the blaring noise stopped. She covered her eyes because the bright light blinded her eyes. She could make out a few shadows surrounding her. (Y/N) gulped when she saw that the people surrounding her were all boys. She closed her jaw before anything will escape her mouth.

"Here's the new greenie this month," she heard one of them say.

"Wait, the greenie's a girl," said another.

"Am I dreaming?"

"Are they finally sending in girls?"

"SLIM IT!" (Y/N) jumped when she heard a loud and booming voice shout out, making everyone stop murmuring to each other.

(Y/N) saw as a dark colored boy came into view and was staring her down. His eyes were boring down at hers. (Y/N) felt quite scared but she didn't want to show the boys that she was afraid. She looked at Alby and they looked as if they were having this staring contest with each other.

"What's your name greenie?" The dark colored boy asked her.

"(Y/N)," she said clearly. "My name is (Y/N)."

"You're something greenie," the boy commented. "Newt will take care of you. Newt!"

Another boy came into (Y/N)'s view. A boy with dirty blond hair that was blocking his dark eyes. He pushed them back and (Y/N) suddenly felt a little exposed. As if he was seeing her naked, even with all of the clothes she's wearing.

(Y/N) blinked a couple of times so that it won't be that obvious her gaze was locked on the blond boy. The blond went inside the cage and (Y/N) took a couple steps back.

When they were seeing each other eye to eye, (Y/N) stopped in her tracks. The boy was definitely taller than her and he had something about him that made her just want to stare at him.

"Name's Newt greenie," he said to her. She noticed that he had an accent unlike the other boys that she heard speak, a few moments ago. "Welcome to the Glade."

(Y/N) was at the Glade for a three weeks now and she's gotten a job as a Med-Jack. It was quite boring for (Y/N) being a Med-Jack but she didn't complain. She liked her job. She liked helping the Gladers even if it was with a simple thing as a prick of a finger.
