Some people believe the world is a wonderful and warm place, but that's only because they never experienced those dark and painful things. They don't understand how cruel reality can be and it shows how naive they are.
The strange thing is that my opinions are the exact opposite: because you experience painful things, you have to believe even harder that there will be happiness coming soon. Do you plan to hold onto your tragedies and your injuries and be unhappy all day long? Curse this society for being unfair? Blame your entire life for being difficult? You think that everyone is trying to outwit each other and that there's no one on this planet who is trustworthy, no love that is worth holding on to. With these narrow-minded thoughts, you become increasingly obnoxious and ignorant. If this is the so-called "maturity", then it is way too disappointing.
Everyone should have piece of purity in their hearts and no matter how difficult your life is, there will definitely be something that is worth being happy for. Perhaps you finally came into contact with an old friend, or perhaps you met with a person you have feelings for. Perhaps you suddenly came across a food that you really wanted to eat, or perhaps the brand you really like is having huge discounts. Perhaps you got a lot of headshots in a game, or perhaps you suddenly found an old diary or something you were about to forget inside a cupboard. Perhaps... there are a lot of perhaps'. Even if it's the tiniest of things, they are all your own unique little pieces of happiness.
It felt like everything was coming to an end, yet also just about to start. Mai Ding was happy because he could clearly feel how Wu Xin was slowly beginning to accept him. It looked like they managed to obtain a lot from this visit to An Ziyan's house. But for Mai Ding, he just made it out of one problem and dived right into the next. All of a sudden, he was about to be married in a few days time and he wasn't mentally prepared at all. As always, An Ziyan's words always hits him by surprise.
Get married? How? He never even thought about it yet now they had to begin to implement it. This once-in-a-lifetime event is so important, but he didn't even have a plan whatsoever. For example, who should we invite? What kind of fireworks should we choose? His mind was completely blank, and the more Mai Ding thought about it, the more irritated he felt. He paced back and forth and in the end, he rushed to the computer to do some research and see what other people's weddings were like. He opened plenty of windows; some to see what food to eat, some to see what kind of an MC to get. When has Mai Ding ever encountered a situation like this? He completely confused and disorganized. When An Ziyan entered the room after finishing breakfast, Mai Ding stared at An Ziyan's calm and collected expression. It was almost as if he wasn't going to get married soon!
"Are you not nervous at all?" Mai Ding asked, while his eyes stayed glued to the computer screen. He really hated how he didn't have a few more pairs of eyes.
"Nervous about what?"
"How could you ask a question like that? We're getting married in a few days, but there are still so many things that we haven't arranged! I don't want to scold you, but you always do whatever you want. You want to get married all of a sudden, but you didn't do any preparation whatsoever! Let me tell you: there's no way you're going to give me a shabby wedding ceremony."
Mai Ding wasn't completely wrong; An Ziyan really did do whatever he wanted to. If it wasn't for Mai Ding's car accident, which made An Ziyan afraid of losing Mai Ding, An Ziyan wouldn't have brought up marriage this early. Originally, he wanted to wait until they graduated before talking about it: "What wedding ceremony? Don't we just need to get a piece of paper?"
