Chapter 4: That Missing Underwear

It is the fourth day of military training and the sun is still scorching. Thewhole field is very quiet as everyone is wearing their camouflage uniform andstanding under the burning sun. They are not allowed to move and they can only standupright for 2 whole hours.

Although it is supposedly to train your persistence, MaiDing's both legs are aching badly and he wants to bend or sit down. But the strict lookon the instructor's face only allows him to remain in position.

He slant his head to lookat An Ziyan as he staggers to walk towards him with only one thought in his mind: if Iwant to faint, I want to faint in front of An Ziyan so that he can bring me to theinfirmary. For the sake of friendship, for the sake of bisexual, fighting!But Mai Ding eventually didn't manage to endure that far as he couldn't stand alreadywhen he is just left with one more step. By the time Mai Ding woke up, he is on the bed in theinfirmary. He looked at the time and he realised that it is already in the afternoon as hecan't believe he slept for so long.Li Ming carried some food and walked over while throwing it on the bed saying, "Youmust be enjoying now since you got to sleep for so long."

Mai Ding wolfed down the food and he asked Li Ming with his mouth filled with itsaying, "How did you manage to come here?"

"Just resting and I remembered that you haven't eat yet so I brought you some stuffover. Oh and instructor told me to tell you that you can rest till afternoon but you haveto be there for night's practice."

When it was night time, Mai Ding is already feeling much better. He waited till thenight is darker before sneaking to the back of An Ziyan.

"Hey, classmate, it's me Mai Ding. I am behind you."

An Ziyan rolled his eyes.

"Why didn't you save me just now? To think that I still gave you a bottle of sunblocklotion."

Mai Ding move closer to An Ziyan as he whispered to him.

"I still thought we are friends already? Is this how you treat your own friends?"

An Ziyan then raised his hands saying, "Instructor, this asshole is not standing behindme."

The instructor looked at Mai Ding and shouted to the loudest volume with ease, "Whyare you standing there again? Stand back at your original position! You don't have theslightest idea of teamwork is it? Short people should stand at the short people area."

The instructor's words made those standing on the right felt hurt. Mai Ding then wentback to his original position as he looked at An Ziyan. Bisexuals' hearts indeed arecold and black~--The day before the parade, Mai Ding was showering and he took out his camouflaugepants along with the underwear.

After he finished showering, he was shocked to findout that the underwear is nowhere to be found. He tried finding like mad beforerushing out to whine to Li Ming, "Li Ming, you asshole, did you steal myunderwear?"

"I steal your underwear for what? You think yours is some golden butt?"

This matter has been affecting Mai Ding till the second day. The passionateatmosphere of the parade quickly made him forget about this matter. It is a lie to saythat he is not passionate about it as Mai Ding is very up and ready today.

He is wellprepared as he already tied his shoelaces and stand in the contingent. The instructorstarted talking, "This parade is a showcase of the fruits of your labour for this week. Ihope everyone will take it seriously and bring out the best in you. Do you guys haveconfidence?"

"Have."

The parade started with going around the field first before going to the main stage.Just when they are walking officially, the main stage is filled with people as theleaders of the school came. The instructor was also standing on top.

When it was MaiDing and the team's turn, they started marching and Mai Ding kicked his legs high."My Comrades"

At this moment, an unknown flying object flew out from Mai Ding's pants and landedon the ground. Mai Ding was shocked as he saw the design and it looks like themissing underwear from yesterday. Instead, An Ziyan turnedhis face to the other side. This asshole!Mai Ding's serious parade ceremony is no longer that serious and official.He became the joke of the day.The parade has finally ended. Everyone has better relations with the instructor but MaiDing's efforts is all spent on how to be friends with An Ziyan and hence, he has notime to nurture his relationship with the instructor.

Everyone is sending the instructor off the time; Mai Ding is glad that the militarytraining is finally over. He used his side view and saw An Ziyan is about to go back tohis room so he followed saying,

"Classmate, wait for me."

Mai Ding quickly ran up and walked with An Ziyan. An Ziyan has tanned a lot over ashort span of one week but that made him even more manly."Will you miss the instructor?"

Mai Ding asked.

"No."

"Then will you miss the friendship we nurture during the military training?"

"Definitely not"

Mai Ding kept quiet as the both of them just continued walking in silence. After along while, An Ziyan opened his mouth saying, "You must be very free down therenow right?"

His tone is obviously filled with mockery.Mai Ding stunned for a short while before he finally reacted by pushing An Ziyan,"What are you talking about! The one that just dropped out was the one fromyesterday which I didn't see. It is not the one I wear today."

Mai Ding thought, couldit be that everyone misunderstood as well? He is regretting now for being so careless.Just chatting like that, both of them already reach the dorm's door.

An Ziyan immediately add on a sentence, "Still big big wolf (Note from translator: Itis a local chinese cartoon called pleasant goat and big big wolf.)" He is talking aboutthe design on Mai Ding's underwear as it was printed with the cunning face of the bigbig wolf.After saying finish, he immediately closed the door.

Mai Ding was shouting with hisflushed face saying, "My mother was the one who bought that for me! It is not mechoosing mine. Why are you harping on it?"

He still thought An Ziyan didn't reallysee it but he didn't expect him to see it so clearly.Mai Ding heard laughter coming out from An Ziyan's room..
