Although school life is tiring, what Mai Ding looks forward is going home. An Ziyan always goes home late, but every time when he gets home, he will say: "Have you been waiting long?"
Mai Ding likes it, especially the warm feeling. At that time, he thinks An Ziyan is very attractive.
One day, when Mai Ding finishes doing the dishes, he lies on the sofa wearily: "I work hard everyday. I need do everything when I get home." However, Mai Ding is willing to do that.
A sound of piano is heard. There are three rooms in the house. One is for Mai Ding, so he can enjoy movies. One is for An Ziyan. The room is full of books, kinds of instruments. Of course, another room is for them. Mai Ding moves to the door quietly. An Ziyan is playing the piano with his back to Mai Ding. The sun shines on An's back and his piano. Mai Ding is crazy about the picture. He cannot help loving him more than before. Mai is dying of love for An.
The beautiful music flies over the full house, which makes everything become alive.
At midnight, An Ziyan wakes up from pain. He opens eyes and finds that something has been pressing on his arms and it tingles. It is Mai Ding's head. Mai Ding looks uncomfortable and he seizes An's arms. An frowns and moves Mai's head on his shoulders. Mai is more comfortable than before. But An's arms still should keep a stable posture.
The next day, the clock is alarming at 6.00 am. Mai Ding stands from the bed in alarm: "What time is it? It will be late for school." He steps on An's arms. He gives a grunt because of the pain in his arms.
"Are you Ok?"
"Do you think so?" An Ziyan speaks in an angry tone.
"I didn't mean it. Why do you put them there?"
"Someone's head is pressing me, so heavy."
"Is it me? You can push me away."
"Why do you think I don't do it? I did it more than one time, but you didn't wake up at all." An Ziyan tells a lie.
"You hit me while I was sleeping? You are so bad. Why you cannot be gentle. It serves you right for your arms."
"You are courting death now."
Mai Ding jumps out of the bed and runs out of bedroom. When he wants to make breakfast, he sees a person in kitchen. He almost screams out. A thief? Mai Ding takes out a knife, pointing to the person: "Who are you."
The person turns back. She is a middle-aged woman with motherly-looking. She is around 40 years old. She looks at Mai Ding: "I am a new housemaid here, and I live next to you. Are you Mai Ding? You can call me auntie Yuan. Breakfast is ready." Yuan' home is next to them. She is often boring at home, so she volunteers to be here when she knows they need a housemaid.
Yuan put the breakfast on the table. Mai Ding is surprised and he rushes back to bedroom: "Why not inform me of that? I don't prepare for it at all."
An Ziyan is wearing cloches: "You are complaining every day."
"You know that?"
"I am not hard of hearing." Mai Ding complains about is everyday. It is hard to hear it.
"But what I can do if there is a housemaid."
"You do have a sense of your own worth. A housekeeper."
"You...." Mai Ding cannot deny it.
Although he is complaining about it, he wants An can realize the importance of him and can be good to him. Yuan is just an accident. What he does is in vain. But in the other hand, he cannot waste his time and can be treated as a master. He can always take it easy.
When he is out of home, he finds that he forgets some books. He doesn't want to go back, so he calls out to An Ziyan who is on the second floor: "An Ziyan, comes out."
"What is the fuss in the morning?" An Ziyan throw books to Mai Ding before Mai Ding speaks anything.
Mai Ding picks up books and murmured: "I am afraid that you cannot hear me, so I call out loudly." He waves his hands to An: "Well, I go to school." He goes skipping, disappearing in An's sight.
At that moment, An feels that Mai Ding is like his son.
After having meals, An is going to go out, but he says to Yuan: "Parsley and bitter melon are never appeared in dishes."
They live different life in different schools.
Mai Ding is still quiet and no one notices him.
An Ziyan is always popular amony people, especially for girls. It is said that he has a girlfriend, which makes other girls so sad. The news comes from Li Ming.
Mai Ding is proud of An Ziyan, for he is popular among women. Although An is often stand-offish, he offends many girls who show love to him.
You are so charming that I will always love you forever. I don't care how others think of you.
It comes to midnight again. An Ziyan waks up for the same reason, and he deals with it in the same way. But Mai Ding opens his eyes. He just wants to see what An will do to him, but he see An just do so gentle things for him.
"I got you!" It is so scary that Mai Ding opens his eyes in the midnight. Then he fastens himself on An Ziyan: "You are so cute to do that."
He should not use cute to describe An Ziyan.
An puts his feet on Mai's stomach, then kicks him out hardly with poker-faced. Mai Ding rolls over the bed.
