[No Matter How Painful (不管有多苦) – by Na Ying (那英)

Standing in my corner, pretending that I'm just a passerby;

My heart dodges in the midst of a crowd,

We don't understand what's wrong with our true feelings,

If you were not you, and I was not me, how happy we would be;

No matter how painful your road will be, I just want to have the final blessing;

I don't care no matter how much hurt I will bear, I just hope that we can be free from all our restrictions;

No matter how painful your road will be, wipe your tears and tell yourself not to cry;

I'm not afraid if someone says this is a mistake, as long as the two of us never give up]

In the past few days, they had not slept as well as they did that night. Mai Ding woke up in An Ziyan's arms and got up rather reluctantly. If he didn't go downstairs soon, his parents might find out. He didn't know if things would really go as An Ziyan predicted. In many areas, Mai Ding trusted AnZiyan completely. This time however, he was a bit skeptical.

He quietly closed his bedroom door, so as not to wake An Ziyan up, and went downstairs. Mai Ding pretended to be in a bad mood and ignored his parents in order to let them know that he was not willing to compromise. Mai Ding's mother pushed a bowl with his breakfast in it towards Mai Ding:

"Eat."

"I don't want to."

"You have to eat even if you can't. If you're so stubborn, then I'll go back on my decision."

"What decision?"

"Letting you be with An Ziyan."

As those words left her mouth, Mai Ding jumped up from his chair, not believing that it was true. He leaned his ear towards his mother: "What did you say? Say it again."

"If you didn't hear it then forget it."

All of the negativity from before was swept away. Mai Ding hugged his mother and fiercely planted a kiss on her cheek: "Mom, you are the kindest, most kind-hearted mother in the world, I love you."

Afterwards, he threw himself onto his dad, who was reading the newspaper: "Dad, I, I really..." Mai Ding didn't know what to say. What in the world could make a person more thrilled than right now? Mai Ding was so excited that he almost couldn't breathe. Mai Ding's father saw Mai Ding's expression and shook his newspaper a bit: "It's okay, you don't have to say anything. Go eat breakfast, look at how thin you've become."

"Yes sir!"

Mai Ding quickly returned to the table, stuffed everything into his mouth, and said vaguely: "I finished so I'm going back to my room." Not waiting for an answer, Mai Ding ran back to his room. Once inside, he saw that An Ziyan had already gotten up. Mai Ding painfully swallowed all of the food in his mouth while slapping his thigh: "An Ziyan, you're amazing. My parents actually agreed!" After saying this, he grabbed his bag and began to pack: "Hurry, while my parents haven't regretted it yet, we should run away quickly."

"You should stay here, I have some things to do."

"No way. You're not taking me out to celebrate on such a good day?"

"See you later." An Ziyan didn't pay any attention to Mai Ding. After finishing this sentence, he disappeared through the window. Mai Ding ran to the window and couldn't stop cursing: "Are you serious? You just leave like this after solving the problem? This is no different from sleeping with me and not taking responsibility!"

Will you still love me even if I'm a man?Where stories live. Discover now
