While sitting on top of the horse, Mai Ding looked back at An Ziyan: "An Ziyan, even if you wanted to give me a surprise, you didn't have to play this big of a prank, right?"
"I satisfied all of your bad tastes, so you have to satisfy mine too, right?" An Ziyan said matter-of-factly.
Mai Ding was somewhat unconvinced: "You have no idea how upset I was just now."
"You think I'm not upset dressed up like this?" An Ziyan wasn't entirely wrong. He was the one who arranged this fairy-tale wedding. For him, who was always cold and hated anything cheesy and romantic, this entire ordeal was absolute torture.
"You didn't have to dress up." Mai Ding pouted.
An Ziyan lowered his head and nuzzled the back of Mai Ding's ear; he breathed gently beside his ear: "I only dressed like this to make someone happy."
One sentence can melt a heart, but Mai Ding asked anyway: "Who is the someone?" He wanted to hear An Ziyan say his name.
"If you don't know, then how am I supposed to know?"
"An Ziyan, you...!" Mai Ding elbowed An Ziyan's stomach.
An Ziyan chuckled. Mai Ding was surprised: today, An Ziyan laughed and smiled quite a bit, so much that it felt like Mai Ding was dreaming. An Ziyan pointed ahead with his chin: "We're here."
This time, Mai Ding truly thought he was dreaming. In front of him was a magnificent castle, with colourful balloons littering the ground. The lights from the top of the castle softly glowed and lit up the entire night sky. A red carpet extended from the main entrance all the way to where their horse stood, and both sides of the carpet had piles of balloons. There were also people dressed as soldiers who lined up in an orderly fashion.
An Ziyan jumped off from the horse, but Mai Ding stayed there, motionless. He was still completely shocked by the scene in front of him.
"This, this, how, castle, did, it get here?" He couldn't even speak properly.
"There was always a castle here. I put that flyer on your desk on purpose, I just hid the fact that there was a castle."
"How did you know I'd choose the resort on the flyer you gave me?"
"How do I not know exactly what you like?"
So everything was single-handedly arranged by An Ziyan. Mai Ding didn't know what expression he should have to face this kind of a situation; should he cry or laugh? He extended both of his hands towards An Ziyan, and An Ziyan helped Mai Ding off the horse.
An Ziyan took Mai Ding's hand and the moment they stepped onto the red carpet, the soldiers, who lined up on both sides, placed their hands onto their chest, slightly bowed, and welcomed them. Each and every one of Mai Ding's steps were light and cautious as if he would crush his wedding to pieces if he was too careless. When they arrived to at the main entrance, the front door opened and Mai Ding's father appeared, wearing the clothes of a king. Although it looked a little funny, Mai Ding didn't smile even a bit. Even though everyone tricked him, this carefully-planned wedding successfully managed to capture Mai Ding's heart.
At that moment, a piece of white chiffon fell on top of Mai Ding's head, covering him on all four sides. He didn't notice that An Ziyan was no longer standing beside him and that his father stood there in An Ziyan's place. Mai Ding's restlessness made his father chuckle as he took Mai Ding's hand and intertwined it in his arm. When the clock hand ticked to midnight, music started to play.
