Chapter 26 Death

Chapter 26. Death.

Moonlight sat in her car outside Foot headquarters in a dark alley way. She waited for the guards to change shifts. The building had more than fifty floors and was heavily guarded. From the outside it looked like an office building. But on the inside, it was much more. She watched the ground floor. When she saw the guards change, she pulled her mask down over her face and got out of the car. It would take the guards six minutes to change. Plenty of time to get ready.

She ran to the back of her car and opened the trunk. She strapped the Aurora pistol to her thigh, and the Beretta’s to her hips. Her ax was strapped to her back, and knifes were placed where Moonlight could get to them easily. The Riots and MK3s were on a belt that was draped across her chest. Moonlight had four rounds for each of the guns. She grabbed the thin wire she took from Donny’s lab and placed it in her pocket, and the smoke bombs in her other pocket. Then the cyanide gas cans along her waist as well. She closed the trunk and watched the guards leave their posts to find someone else. It was time.

Moonlight ran across the street and up to the doors. If she had to check every floor she would. She grabbed her ax and flipped out the blade. She walked through the door and. There was a main desk in the center of the lobby and a hallway on both sides of it. She looked to left and saw two guards leaving through a door. Something told her that was not the way to go. She turned to the right and ran down the hall. She had to find the stairs. She passed eight doors on her left and right till she found the stairs. The door was locked when she tried to open it.

Moonlight took a step back the rammed her foot into the latch and watched as the door flew open. She stepped inside and started to climb the stairs. She took her ax and broke the cameras that hung on the walls. She reached the second floor and opened the door. But there was a wall in the way.

“A fake floor.” She said. Above her she could hear yelling and a door slam. When she looked up, two foot ninjas were walking down towards her, laughing and yelling at each other. Moonlight opened the door once more, and found enough room for her to hide her body in it. She waited for the guards to reach the door before kicking it open and slamming it into the face of one of them. The other let out a yell and Moonlight jumped out from behind the door. She took a knife and raised it above her head and brought it down into the guard’s head that she had hit with the door. She ripped out of his skull and charged the other guard. He drew his sword but was not quick enough. She took the knife and buried it deep in his throat feeling his blood spray against her neck. She moved the knife from end of his neck to the other. Then watched his body fall to the floor. There was no mercy for her enemy this day. She continued to the next floor and found it was a fake as well. But the fourth floor was not. She walked inside and found a hall with two rooms. The first was empty but the next one was a surveillance room. She looked inside and found a camera with Shredder and Hun on it. The room had ten Foot ninjas in it.  She looked at the bottom left corner of the screen. It said “F13” floor 13. She grabbed a MK3 and threw it in the room and walked away. It would do the job. When she reached the stairwell again, she heard the bang of the grenade going off.

She climbed up the stairs and walked past floor five, six, and seven. At floor eight, she stopped and looked inside. There was a hallway, but only one door. She walked over to it and found that it was an elevator. Moonlight looked at buttons but there was something strange about them. Instead of counting up, they counted down. She looked over them again and saw F13 was a button. She wanted to find Shredder. She pushed to button and the door shut behind her. The elevator began to move down. Moonlight surveyed the small enclosed space. Above her was a vent for a quick escape if needed. To the sides were mirrors and behind her was a dragon painted on the wall in gold. The doors themselves were gold as well. Moonlight stood and watched as she traveled further and further down the elevator tube. “Soon.” She thought. “Soon all of this would be over.”
