Yurio's POV

I had won gold. I made history. I reaxhed my goal. Yet I still felt nervous. I felt nervous for Aki. I hadn't seen her since the night before. I wss returbibg to my room after going out to eat with Otabek, and she was running down the hall away from us. Her room was an entirely different floor, she mudt have been looking for me, but she then ran away. I was just sitting there, tapping my foot as I anxiously waited for her turn. I felt bad, especially if the piggy felt lile this every time he was going to compete.

She deserved to win, and she was going to. She worked her butt of to get there, and she is just as good as anyone else. She finally got onto the ice. Nothing looked too different from when she preforned her freeskate before. She then took her starting postion, which was different. Her hesd was tilted down, her hands reached up to cover her ears, and she corssed her legs, stickibg the right tip of her clear skate into the ice. You never could expect anything with Aki. She started, and with a spin. It wasn't like how she skated in competitions. It was her skating that I saw the first ever time I saw her skate. Just her being herself.

Yuri's POV

I watched as my baby sister skated across the ice, moving with the grace and agility some would only dream of. Like I only dream of. She was always so far ahead of me. I couldn't help but push myself to keep up. She always seemed to be waiting for me, just to run on a head, calling to me to catch up. But then it was like she just left that path to persue her own, leavibg me to forge coward on my own. I wss fibe with that, cause I had people but my side.

Yet what was happening on the ice scared me. Her mask was falling away. She was always broken, I knew that, but knew she was still beautiful. Others wouldn't see it that way. So she his under a mask, and a very convincing one at that. He mask makes her seem strong, stable, and independent. I don't even know what she's truly like, as that mask as become her, and she's hidden her truself from everyone but her. It hurts her more when people don't like her, cause she skillfully crafted herself to be like that. I honestly forgot bout that mask, until I saw it falling off as she skated.

She's always had that mask. She only knew how to function with that make on. I was scared of what old happen once it came off. There was no goibg back. She took it off herself and seemed like she wasn't ever going to replace it.

Victor's POV

She truly did skate with her heart and soul. Everyone was on their edge of their seats, awaiting what ehe would do next. No one could predict what she would do, not even herself. It was magnificent. That was what every skater strived to be like. She truly was a skatibf princess. No, Naomi was correct. She was a goddess.

Aki's POV

I didn't care about the music. I didn't care bout the people. I didn't care bout the score. It was just me. People would think it was style. Like JJ style. It wasn't wasn't a style. It was just me.

Yuri's POV

The three of us were runbibg through the halls, on our way to where the skaters left the rink. We were going to meet Aki. I wanted to make sure she was alright. She did just give up on hidding herself. We found her standibg just outside the doors, staring down at what she has in her hand, with a lost look on her face.

"You did it!" Yurio yelled, and wrapped my sister in a high. I followed suit, and Victor pulled us all in for one big group hug.

"You did amazing out there," Naomi ssidx running away from reporters. "Maybe I should let you go free at every event." She should be reasponding by now, some with remark. Some teasing. She was still silently contimplating something.

"So what are you going to do with it?" I asked, talking bout the gold metal sitting in her hand. She mummbled somethinf under her breath.

"What was that?" victor asked. I wasn't the only obe who didn't hear what she said.

"I don't want it," she said in a hushed tone. She seemed calm. Something rarely seen with her. Not anxious, not hyper, not angry, just calm. "I've already tired giving it to Mila," she had gotten second, "But she just laughed and put it back around my neck." She was completely confused by that. We were all shocked by her first statement we couldn't properly comprehend it.

Everyone one of us, our motivation was to win the gold metal. There Aki was sanding, after pouringbout her soul onto the ice, with the golden metal in her hand, claiming she didn't want it.

Aki's POV

I understood all the strange looks I was getting. I just won't gold, something people work theirbentire lives to do, and I don't even want it. I accepted that fact that I wouldn't win after I realized my sight had joined my sanity. I was fine with it. I just want to skate to inspire others. Thats all I wanted to do.

But now I won. I was appeariently the best there was. In my desperate trailer of catching up to my brother my entire life I managed to pass him without even noticing. How long was I actually leading him? Could I properly function knowing that I am?

"What are your plans now?" Victor asked me, wantingbto take all our minds off of the bomb shell I had confessed.

"Sleep for like twevel hours then eat a bunch of junk food,"I said. I stayed up the entire night before, and for once in months I finally felt hungry.
